Working Tax Credit - a little confused
On the HMRC website, it tells me to input the 2008/9 fin year earnings. Now, I was unemployed and claimed JSA for 15 weeks in that year. I put in my figure quoted in my P60 and it says I could claim c£570. It told me just to put my paid employment figures in. If I put in my current salary in - it works out to be like £1.07…

My son has been at uni, did two years, and has now either taken a year out, or quit altogether - can't quite get that bit right! As his girlfriend is still at the Uni, he has been living with her, but as her income (student loan) was taken into account, he was deemed ineligible for means tested JSA. Now his money is…

Would this be classed as voluntarily making yourself unemployed?
(I've also posted this on the Redundancy Board). Right, I'll make it as short as possible. My son works for a retail chain and there are rumours that redundancies are afoot. His contract is only for eight hours a week and although when he first worked there he got around 16-24 hours, for ages now all he has had is the…

Working Tax Credit Query
My one year bond matures soon and I have to notify the building society what I want to do. If I re-invest capital plus the interest will I loose the current amount of WTC that is being paid now? Or would it be better to get the b/soc to transfer some of the money into my ISA? Many thanks,
