Working Tax Credit On Unpaid Maternity Leave

Hi,
We have recently been blessed with a baby boy
I'm currently an unemployed student and my partner is on unpaid maternity leave (not with employer long enough) and claiming income support.
I am filling in the tax credit form at the moment and am at a loss as what to put under her employment / income details.
Do I put in her employer and also fill in the income support bit or do I only fill in the income support bit and wait until she is back at work to claim wtc?
I know that if she was on paid maternity leave she would qualify for wtc.
Thanks
Billy

I'm on paid maternity leave but rules should be the same as far as i know SML & SMP come under two different sets of rules so as long as she is on SML she is still classed as employed for the first 39 wks under tax credit rules you will need to make an estimate of what she will have earned by the end of the tax year less £100 per week for every week she is on maternity leave up to 39wks.
Can i ask was she with a different employer before she started the new job if so she may be able to claim Maternity allowence if she earnt enough during the qualifying period. The direct.gov web site will be able to help you with that one
Thought i should add i dont know about how the income support will affect tax credits or vise versa:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
I dont think you can claim WTC if on income support, I think it was to be the paid part of maternity leave where SMP/MA is being paid.0
