Working Tax Credit - a little confused

On the HMRC website, it tells me to input the 2008/9 fin year earnings. Now, I was unemployed and claimed JSA for 15 weeks in that year. I put in my figure quoted in my P60 and it says I could claim c£570. It told me just to put my paid employment figures in.

If I put in my current salary in - it works out to be like £1.07 a week. I may consider this - even though its pathetic, but at least it pays for a loaf of bread a week! I am full time now

As the website has no clue in can I claim the £570 odd, can I claim this?

If I can, I will claim as this will be useful for me!
