Form 6.28 Sect 7?
Sect 7 of the BR form is outgoings. It has only limited spaces and headings. Is it best to add a detailed SOA in the extra info section at the end and refer to it or group everything together under these limited headings? Sorry to list yet another question

We only have my income so hers will show NIL apart from Tax credits/Child Benefit Should she therefore list nil outgoings and I list…

I'm interested to know
Would it be rude of me to start a thread that people post on the rounded figure of debt they went bankrupt for? I think it's from a personal point of view to see how other people compare to my situation... Mine was approx £45k, built up slowly over 12 years which became unmanageable Anyone else? Round it to the nearest 5k…

Help needed
Hi All Desperately need some advice. Currently my Oh and I have a DMP with CCCS. 2 weeks ago, I resigned from my job due to stress and depression. I had very unsupportive employers and felt I had little choice. Going long term sick with them was not an option as I would have only received 2 weeks pay and then just SSP. I…

How can a bailiff enforce a debt if BR has been awarded?
So a bailiff turned up at my Dad's house with a writ to enforce a debt included in my Sequestration, awarded 2 weeks ago. Surely I no longer 'own' the debt now? If I call the guy today, do I just refer him to the Accountant in Bankruptcy? I didn't think creditors were allowed to contact you after bankruptcy has been…

bit of advice re bankruptcy
my husband just died last Friday, leaving me with what at the time was a small amount of debt (under £15,000) hopefully some of this will be written off by the fact that they are in his name only but i understand most won't and will pass to me. My main problem is I had been off work sick for 2 yrs and had only just started…

CCJ after Bankruptcy
I have today received a judgement for a business debt that I personally guaranteed. My OH also received a copy of it, as we were joint defendents, he is not BR. I went bankrupt in Dec 10 and told the OR about the amount, but the time it has taken to get to court etc, and the fact that we have now lost, I am wondering what…

Hello from a newbie and Uber thanks!
Hi There I have been lurking for the past couple of weeks on this board so thought i'd pop up and say hello . I was advised by the CCCS, that bankruptcy via the LILA route ( i live in Scotland) is my best option. I have downloaded the forms, now just have to do the task of filling them in and sending them off. I have…

My bankruptcy Story - It's not as scary as you think.
Hi there. Just though i'd share my experience of my bankruptcy as I know when I was going through it all it was good to read other peoples accounts of how it all panned out. As it stands today I'm now discharged and have been since mid March. My grief all happened over the space of about 3 years culminating in bankruptcy…

LILA and Incapacity benefit
Hi there I have been advised by the CCCS that bankruptcy is my best option as i have a debt of £13,000 and have no means of paying it back now. I live in Scotland and just want to check if anyone knows about incapacity benefit and LILA. I meet all the other criteria for LILA, but it doesn't mention if Incapacity benefit is…

O2 Pay Monthly Contract
Having gone BR on 28/03, I WANT to get rid of my expensive O2 pay monthly contract - I have about 18 months or so of the contract to run. I know that O2 dont like BR's, and usually just cancel contracts (which is what I want). I got myself an O2 pay and go sim card, and have changed my number, but currently have both…

Newbie with Questions before going BR
Hi All I am just completing the forms for BR after deciding not to go down the IVA route. I have a couple of Q's 1. Is there an approximate guide of the time between filing for BR and getting the hearing? 2. Once an IPA is agreed (and I understand that is now 100% of surplus income), do you have to keep meeting with the OR…

We have not missed a payment on our mortgage- this month will be the first month we can't pay. We have missed payments on large card debts for the last month or so.…
