Morning all
I normally have swathes of these leaving my account on the first working day of each month and by this time of the day they've normally gone.
Just a heads-up that none are yet showing as transacted and yet the NW site is stating that all services are operating normally. Additionally my upcoming payments from this account is indicating no more are to be taken today and the 'available balance' indicates that none of todays planned withdrawals have been taken into consideration yet.
Others may be affected - although they may well transact later today - don't get caught out by drawing money out when you may have outgoings later today.
Ive contacted NW by secure messaging

Same for me too, both Nationwide and Tesco Bank. Maybe they're late due to the bank holiday who knows.0

Do most banks not have two daily rollovers, one just after midnight and another just after midday?
I don't usually worry about any regular transactions until the early afternoon for that very reason.0 -
Same issue here.
Phoned up and went through to current account enquiries to be given an automated message that there are regular payment issues and that they can't take calls before cutting me off.
Now on the phone to the mortgage enquiries because both my current account and mortgage are with them.
Also got Water, electricity, council tax, sky and life insurance payments all due to go out today but still sitting there unactioned.
Service availability page now has the following message
"We’re currently experiencing delays to outbound Standing Orders, Internal Transfers and Direct Debits from Nationwide accounts. Inbound and outbound Faster Payments are unaffected."0 -

If you look at your list of direct debits, you can see that ones due out today were requested yesterday (as you would expect). So they are in the system at least.0

Thank you for the warning, I will watch it over the next few hours. Payments usually go out early afternoon.
What happens if they fail? Is there compensation?0 -
Internal transfers seem to be working. ISA to RegSaver, ISA to current, current to current.
ETA: These were manual transfers, not automated.0 -
Same here. I was expecting lots of DD out of account today but nothing and assumed it might be because of the bank holiday. Just logged in again now to see the message as above. Hope they sort it soon.0
