This site offered alot more than the others so I took the risk. A risk I am regretting. Tomorrow is the cut off point for the trade value to be held, and they still "haven't arrived" I sent my items in 2 packages and find it odd that neither have made it there. I have just emailed Customer Services to see if they have arrived as the status on website (awaiting receipt) hasn't been updated. They were sent with proof of posting (home shoping returns with a tracking number), RM site says "processing" but I think with my last home shopping return (which reached retailer) it didn't get further than that as they are not tracked really, I was told they didn't confirm delivery with that service or something like that. Should have paid for Recorded Delivery I am kicking myself now!!

Trade-in was worth just under £20.

Wish I had stuck to a more well known company now.

Hopefully they will assist with a RM claim as the website states they will.

Anyone else had experience of them?
  • I believe that this site is the same company that does a lot of the large recycling of mobile sites, redeem plc so it is legit. Reliance on royal mail for delivery can be an issue too. I would recommend now picking and choosing what you send to whom, as there are other options - musicmagpie, tradeyourstuff, cex, speedsell, tradeyourgames, swapgame, cashbee amongst others..

I have also just used Turnintocash.com and found the same thing they say my items never arrived. I have used Musicmagpie.com and Webuydvds.co.uk and never had a any problems with them but as Turnintocash.com offered more I thought I would give them a try but so recreate doing that now. Here is a warning for anyone who plans on using them, don't.

Was just about to send a huge box of DVDs and games off to them as they offered more than magpie...glad I checked here first!

Will send via recorded delivery and see what happens...

I just called to find out if my parcel had arrived and was told due to been overrun with people coming from this website there systems were down and they would call me back. The order I sent over was over £100 and I'm starting to feel that I might just have to get trading standard involved. This is really not on, how there keeping peoples items and not paying out a penny for them. I will keep you updated but I would not use their website until people confirm they getting paid.

Well just received a call back and ended up speaking to the director of the company a Mr Rob Fox and interestingly he said he used to owner of Envirofone. He’s pleasant man but top and bottom of it is he is just going to keep his eyes open for it and contact me back in a few days.
Guess anyone reading this article which as I am told they are as well, is if you’re in a rush to get paid then maybe you might be better off using someone else that is of course if you get paid out by them.

I will update you in a few days with what goes on.

Just had a go with this site. At first glance it looks like higher valuations that music magpie, but I'm not sure it is.

Put in first CD and it came up with 70p compared with 30p on musicmagpie - great :)

Clicked reject and put in second CD - also came up with 70p versus 30p on mm - also great :)

Clicked accept and re-entered first cd - this time only 30p - not great

Checked a few more - first time with empty "basket" 70p - after accepting the first CD all subsequent ones came up as 30p. :(

Seems pretty sneaky. Doesn't make me want to trust them.
  • hmm - did you send recorded delivery?

I did not send it recorded but really I should not have too. Every other item I have sent to Musicmagpie.com and Webuydvds.co.uk which is about 15 lots have always arrived. Will update you when they get back to me. But use them at your own risk.
