    Halifax Success !!

    Hello ,
    Submittted my claim on 5th of May , using the forms from here, and had the usual letters back.
    Received a letter this morning stating they are refunding the following :-
    Refund of premiums £1501.13
    Refund of interest applied because of PPI £1134.65
    Interest at 8% calculated until 9 Sept 2011 £ 69.93
    Total = £2705.71

    I am thrilled as was expecting a 'battle' with them !!

    Thankyou so much to Di, Amersall and everyone else for all their help and support and Good Luck to everyone waiting !!

    Just had a thought about the person who had £6k dropped into her account. Seeing as she has a Barclays account, all they need to do is similar to a branch transfer and not a payment to another account via BACS. Perhaps they want to keep their existing customers happy? What do you think?

    Halifax did the same to me when i complained re bank charges - they put straight back to the account, and even sent me a letter saying i can start using the account again.

    so every day ive been checking my barclays account to see if anything has gone in.

    My claim was received by RBS on 2nd September 2010 and still not heard anything despite several phone calls. Just get quoted "we have until Aug 31st to respond to your claim". They have also told me they are working through them in date order which does not seem to be correct as I have read of several successful claims which have been made in 2011.

    Hi there..am in agreement there with you...my claim was sent in Feb...and settled in April!

    Keep at them!:) x

    its becuse mine went in may and then couple weeks later they came in with that 31 august deadline.

    I do hope and pray mine get sorted then, but realistically i know its not gonna due to the time submitted. o well will only be approx 2 weeks later for sorting.

    i just keep telling my self b patient most of my accoints have been closed back 2008 -2010 paid in full. i didnt know nothing about ppi until may when some claims co kept hassling me. Ive managed all this time with the extra cash so a few more weeks wont hurt. IT WOULD BE PERFECT TO GET NOW, but im just letting them have their 16 weeks as long as they are gonna uphold..

    if they reject me on the hand... THEN U KNOW ITS WAR :mad: :mad: :D
