Good morning, we have had a beautiful weather the last few days and been making the most of it, have used the BBQ a few times this week, so should have saved a few pence in electricity with not having the oven on.

So moneywise, I got paid Tuesday and paid off H&M and Very account, which I have to say feels good.
I made a payment of £10 to Tesco CC as I was supposed to be meeting a friend for drinks last night but she cried off, so that's the money I would have spent.

Other spends this week have been on groceries £120, split between aldi,Tesco and sainsburys, cupboards and fridge is jam packed, need to do a meal plan though. I put £20 fuel in the car, Spent £21 in sainsburys in the clothes sale managed to get a top and trousers for myself or work, DS a top and DD a summer skirt, which I didn't think was too bad. Also kids got their allowance £30.

Today will be a spend day as the local carnival is on and it's the last one my DS will be in as he goes to secondary school in September and it's only the primary schools that take part, I will try and keep spending to a minimum for myself and both children have their allowances so no extra money being handed out, this evening we are at a local charity BBQ in the village, I've decided to drive so won't be drinking but DH will be, I'm hoping to spend no more than £30 tonight for the 4 of us. Fingers crossed I Can do today on less than £50.

Other spends this week have been DS cricket £1 and DD school trip £5.

3 weeks left until we break up for the summer and I'm starting to think of some cheap/free things we can do together as a family, I have to say it was so much easier when they were little and could keep them entertained for hours with a paddling pool with bubble bath poured it, a trip to the park to go on the swings or feeding the ducks by the canal.

So far I've come up with -
    Geocaching.
    Trip to beach.
    Bike rides.

Kids are going to stay with grandparents for a few days as well, and DS has a few days planned at his new secondary school as they are running a sports camp for the new starters to get to know each other before school actually starts.

Better go and get dressed and get children up.

Morning, we had a fantastic family day yesterday and the total spends for the day came in at £30, which I am really pleased about.

Plans for today are to tidy house and do plenty of washing whilst the sun is out to get it dry. Family coming over later for tea, plans are to make a quiche, various salads, bread and have that for tea, will also make a banoffi pie for pud as I have everything in.

Also need to check banking and make an overpayment to CC even if it is only £1.

Evening, just a quick update to keep me on track.

Yesterday I received £3 survey payment so I sent this straight to tesc0 CC, also direct debit of £145 went out of account to tesc0 CC, I also put £20 fuel in the car. No other spends and all meals came from stores.

Today has been a NSD, did round bank account down and send £1.82 to tesc0 CC and have also redeemed £10 from a survey site.

I've listed 3 items on £bay, but don't expect them to go for much.

All meals have been from stores today and cooked extra sausages off to have in sandwiches for kids lunch tomorrow.

Tomorrow I need to do a small shop for fresh fruit/salad bits, milk and bread, but I'm hoping to keep it under £20.

Off to catch up on surveys.

So much for starting a new diary and posting often, life seems to be manic at the minute, I will be glad when Thursday arrives and I finish work for 6 weeks.

I have been good and have been making at least £1 overpayment everyday, so far this month I've managed to overpay £42, whilst it is not a huge amount it s a start. I Received a £5 amazon voucher from a survey site which I'm saving as I'm close to getting a £10 one with another site, I'm going to get DS a few bits for school with these as he needs a scientific calculator, French dictionary and a couple of other bits.

Had a few days of feeling bogged down and everything feeling too much, hasn't helped that I seem to be having to pay out for things that I havn't budgeted for, DD wanted to go on her end of year trip so that's £5 and another £5 spends, DS is leaving primary, they have had a leavers trip which cost me £10, they are having a leavers meal which is going to be around £30 as an adult has to go as well as it has been booked at a restaurant in town and then I've been asked for another £10 for the teachers present, it has just got ridiculous. But what can I do, everyone around where I live seems to have more money than sense, I just feel as though I'm poor and I can't say anything because then you get talked about because your not able to afford x,y and z. I also have a work meal this week as its the end of another year, did manage to get out of going for drinks on the last evening as a collegue is leaving, it's not someone I work closely with so made excuses about childcare, did put in £5 for leaving present though.

Chickens are laying for England at the minute so we are having lots of things based around eggs, made pancakes for breakfast, which used up a few and have made a choc chip traybake cake. going to make a broccoli and cheese quiche shortly which will do for lunch boxes tomorrow.

Myself and DH are not getting on very well at the minute, seem to have drifted apart and have very little to say to one another, maybe it's because we are both working long hours and tired, I don't know, maybe things will get better once I've finished for the summer and I'm not so pre occupied with other things.

    Afternoon diary.

Today has been a challenging day with DH and I, we are just not getting along and I'm struggling to make sense of why we are still together, we seemed to have drifted apart, but spending time together all we do is bicker, we went out last night as children are at their grandparents and thought we would go for a drink child free, yet he got narky with me because DD sent me a text and I replied to it and I was supposed to be with him, fair enough if it had been a friend or work collegue but it was his own daughter saying good night and that she loved us.

Anyway enough of that............Back to money.

Finally broken up for the summer and received lots of lovely gifts from the children, mainly chocs, wine and flowers, chocs I will ration out to the kids as it will save me some money on days out as they can have these treats. Trying hard to stretch the food budget, although the kids being away until Monday will help, did a small top up shop yesterday and spent £11.

Have redeemed from 2 survey sites, £3 from onewhich will hit paypa1 next week and a £10 amaz0n voucher from another which I have spent already on a scientific calculator for DS as he needs one for secondary school.

Going to spend the next few weeks getting the house into an orderly state, cupboards and drawers seem to be over flowing and we generally seem to have stuff everywhere which is driving me nuts.

but hay ho it could be worse................
