Sorry Bob - my advice landed too late. Don't be fobbed off though - as I say, you have a right to expect that your child will be safe in school on a daily basis.

I'm afraid I'm another one a bit miserable today. I'm tired, and not sleeping well again. Plus I found out I didn't get that job in London I went for so am feeling a bit rubbish and rejected. Meh. :(

Managed a nsd yesterday and today as well. Just because I'm far too busy to be out spending cash. I feel like I'm really busy and getting nowhere at the moment. Sleep is the one thing I want more than anything at the moment. Think stress and anxiety are starting to take over...

CCL - My insomnia is also back big-time. I had been awske a while this morning & was wondering how near it was to the alarm going on, so I lit up my little clock and..........1.10 a.m. Aaaagggghhhhhh! Then I just tend to doze fitfully on & off for not long at a time & feel shattered by morning. This is the resurgence of a long term problem for me. I used to buy some helpful herbal tablets called 'Potter's New Relax' - 3 doses a day helped when I had anxiety too, as well as relaxing me for better sleep but I can't get the tablets anywhere now.....even specialist herbalist shop no longer sells them, so massive boooo to that!!

    A few more bits:
*Paid another 50p into my sealed pot.
*Checked the YS fridge while visiting Waitrose for free coffee - yay, fish for 39p!
*mr f checked Paypal & cashed out £85 ebay money.
    Have a peaceful evening, all.

Ah lots of gentle supportive hugs required out there, please feel free to take one.

Bob when DS was having issues at school I felt really intimidated by the whole process even though I knew we were in the right. Something about school that does that to you. Stick to your guns.

DS has a quandary, his friend said something vague about a joint birthday present for a mutual friend. No amount or gift idea was agreed. The friend then went and bought something really expensive and is now badgering DS for £15! DS does not have a job at the moment so would either have to pay out if his own birthday money or I would have to pay. DS has spoken to the friend who was given the gift and explained what has happened, he is fine about it. I suggested giving £5 and saying that is all DS has but DS insists that would be admitting he agrees to the whole thing. Sigh.

Right got to cover a work meeting tonight, best get ready!

Evening all, I've not posted for a couple of days as had first day at new booking headache last night. I resisted the urge to order takeaway though but did buy reduced satay chicken salad and ready made sandwiches which i divvied out with chips each. I felt too ill to wait for final reductions so it wasn't dirt cheap but cheaper than a Chinese meal.

I was up early today as I needed to start early so I could leave in time to take the cat to the vet. She has been sneezing for days, the vet says she's generally healthy and it will either be a cat cold or a bit of grass stuck right up the top of her palate. She gave her an anti inflammatory injection and also an antibiotic one and if it doesn't improve in a couple of days she will have to go in for them to take a proper look.

As the vets is just a couple of doors down from the chippy I got battered sausage and chips for us all for dinner. It cost me £8 but still cheaper than the pizza deal we often have on Tuesday's.

I have however been good on the lunch front where I've been sticking to soup! I have also discovered where they keep the free books :rotfl:

Have a good evening all :)

    Evening all,

Bob, the school thing is hard, we are in ongoing 'chats' with DD's teacher as two boys keep intimidating and annoying her. It was physical for a while, mainly pushing, but that has stopped. Its heartbreaking and took a while to get the school to take it seriously. They often say things that are just unkind and so we have told the school we are expecting zero tolerance or shall complain to the board. DD is such a gently soul, it is such a worry.

On another note and much pore positive...I finished my list! Very satisfying indeed!

Hope you all have a lovely evening and those feeling glum are wrapped up warm and taking things easy!

    Hi guys

Glad you spoke to the school Bob. Hope things settle down.

I felt better today as the day went on - thanks guys - scheduled in an extra-long lunch break and went to buy some gifts that were on my list. Need to update YNAB in a bit.

We had fake away tonight - thai meal deal thingy. Was quite quick to make and cost £6ish rather than £26 so happy about that.

Not much on the cards tonight - bit of crochet, watching net flix, jumping in OH's bath when he gets out, early night with a free ebook...

    Just the usual really!

Hope those that are feeling flat are feeling perkier. Nice work on the allotment determined we don't have an Asda nearby but loving your work, will try and remember if I go near one. Smashing work. I've been up since 4 (not deliberately I hasten to add :rotfl:) commute took two hours  not a good start. Only just sat down after being out the house for over 12 hours. Not had tea, too late now, just finished the last muffin (that's DFW right ;)) and a handful of sultanas that came home from DD packed lunch.

Bob glad you managed to get to meet school. Hope its resolved.

    I've done the following:
    Updated myc0upons for mr s
    Checked banking
About to do 10 minutes of surveys
    Worked hard, no spend day
Lovely 'Mum and daughter' session at brownies
Online chat with phone provider. They gave me a quote for an upgrade. I :rotfl: lots. Asked for my PAC code they ended the chat session! I'm on sim only anyway. Contract ends in 30 days. Will try again in a couple of days. Have done a comparison so I know what I can get.
Check emails, emailed lady about gifts. Have arranged to collect Thursday. Mustn't forget.

    Right, off for now. Purps.

    Thank you Cat

Yorkshire Yes it's true actually. Sorry you've experienced the same. That's a pain about DSs friend. I think I'd go with your suggested £5 but can also see his point.

Angel That is tough. I think I'd be upset at a boy bullying my daughter too. Seems worse some how. I really hope they respect your call for zero tolerance.

La E and PF thank you.
