Bob, they had the full riot act read when they tried to tell me 'boys just get a little bit overexcited at this age' nonsense. I explained clearly that I am not raising my daughter to except any form of mistreatment and the fact that he is a boy does not mean he gets away with it for being overexcited??!! I think because it was boys it made me more assertive and the teachers response enraged me (although outwardly I stayed calm but firm). Luckily DD's dad is totally proactive so I am not on my own with it and we will be meeting with the teacher again very soon.Happiness is wanting what you have...0

morning campers
Just caught up on this weeks thread, Hope everyone who was feeling low yesterday wakes up today a little brighter.
Yesterday was an NSD which is always good, won't be today as I need to give DS £4.50 for craft club.
I've just tried to log in to change my clubcard points to Pizza Express vouchers but its not recognising my password so I will try and sort that later.
In other news we did our mortgage application last night. £430 search of our new property stuck in the throat a bit, being we are buying a new build so they only have a plot of mud to look at currently!!
hope everyone has a good dayPreparing to go bankrupt April 20200 -
Morning
quite a productive day yesterday and I was the model grandmother to madam so she is back to her usual lovely self (post contact always has an impact on her behaviour for a few days
) All this talk of kids having a hard time makes me shrivel inside a little
madam is such a sensitive soul and has some behaviours that are left over from her unsettled start. I can't bear the thought of sending her out in the world only for some little s***s to undo all the work we have been doing for the last 3 years trying to build her confidence!
Yippee another day off :j of course at least an hour will be spent doing garden related stuff :j today I intend to sow aubergines & [STRIKE]brussel sprouts (didn't yesterday) tomatoes, peppers [/STRIKE] and carrots. [STRIKE]also hope to wash out a few pots[/STRIKE]
might make a NSD but am itching to buy the raspberry plantsbought them as found a voucher code. But when I put through my card details it didn't give me anywhere to put the code and the sale went through. Phoned them and asked them to honour the code & they are refunding delivery £4.95 :money:
hang up washing & do another load. Check out Mrs Flylady, need to give the lounge/bathroom & madam's room a bit of love
finalise cc statement - it's been a headache this month as I changed cc due to a 3 month high cashback allowance but not everywhere takes it. Hopefully next month will be easier!
[STRIKE]try to check banking [/STRIKE]- just changed to coop and it does seem that the online banking can be a bit rogue... pay said cc if I can get in!
still need to bake the banana loaf. Will get madam involved with that. She loved making butter yesterdaythink I will make some cheese straws while we're at it
2 things for masters - definitely doing this when madam goes to bed. Then oh has a film for us to watch
[STRIKE]read martin's newsletter [/STRIKE]
usual bags/clothes/lunches for tomorrow
That'll do! Happy Wednesday guys xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning folks
Big hugs to everyone who has to adult today (I hate that feeling!)
Finally given in a booked a doctors appointment for them to look at my ear. Am bored of getting vertigo on and off. Making me feel tired, heavy headed etc and I don't like it!
Had an impromptu pizza out last night as we were waiting for Phil's friend (who then never showed up!). But we shared one between us so only £15 in the end.
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores
- Gym if feeling up to it - nope. Gonna rest up til Friday.
- Doctors at 11.10 - hooray for medicine! Boo to £8.40 prescription charge though!
- Charge phone in work - done
- Crochet
- No alcohol (11 day streak) - will stay off all drinks while my ear is getting better.
Have a great day all

Morning all!
Carrie you have reminded me I must book session at my gym for this week - they book up quick and I am on a 'use it or lose it' personal challenge with my membership. Thank you. You sound very motivated with exercise.
DNMS - sounds like you are doing a wonderful job with GD. My DD is very sensitive but I think, although this is awful, every time she see's me talk to her teacher about it or DD and I discuss anything that has happened I am teaching her that you don't have to put up with it and it is not ok. I know it doesn't stop the impact on her (and it has been as bad that she didn't want to go to school) but I hope it helps her to know she doesn't deserve it and it is them that are wrong.
Today:
*Quick whizz around the kitchen - did a deep clean Sunday but Fly Lady thread is kitchen today so want to keep on top of it.
*All meals from stores - Chilli is defrosting as I type.
*DD's treat day so will be a LSD
*Work,work,work from home
*Look at doing complaint to Experian for miss selling - keep putting this off
*Reconcile YNAB to bank account - done and all on target!
Its bait grizzly here today and I have a cold still so must go grab an extra jumper and get on. Hope you all have a fab day!Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -

Thanks angelpye. If you'd have told me two years ago that I would be a weightlifting gym-bunny I would have laughed in your face! I can't believe the difference it's made to me though
For those with littlies who are struggling at school...
As a person who was a very sensitive child and was bullied very badly for years (to the point that I used to feign illness to get out of going) and got to a very dark place in lots of ways...
You are all doing a fab job, and your children will appreciate and remember your support.
Angelpye - what you said about showing your dd that it's not ok, and that she doesn't have to accept that treatment from people is so important. I wish that someone had told me that. When I was small, the party line was "kids are mean, you'll just have to ignore it".
You are all raising amazing people who will be strong and know their worth

Afternoon Campers,
Decent morning of job list & money-saving stuff, but have come to a bit of a halt now, as need to prep for a meeting tonight among other things. Anyway, here's today's small things:
*2 baths from 1 lot of hot water.
*Let my hair dry naturally.....must be saving quite a bit on leaving my hairdryer in the wardrobe!
*Use-it-up is still ongoing. Am extracting last of my foundation from the bottle using a coffee stirrer (Bob's idea ages ago & I have done it ever since to get at least another week's worth out), also still using last of a lippy by getting it out with a lip brush. And a virtually empty chutney jar yielded sufficient for a sandwich, so no waste there.
*Had a quick check through the fridge but the only stuff needing using will be going in tonight's salad, so no waste there.......................& I didn't cark it from eating that out of date yoghurt yesterday, either!
*Made dough for bread rolls in the BM - just off to shape those in a minute.
*Made tomorrow's packed lunch,
*Checked propagator.....tomato seedlings are up today :-)
*Sorted laundry & out of 2 full baskets, only 3 items required ironing. Not much electricity used there!
*Moved a job from the 'Annoying Jobs I can do for a small spend' list to the 'Annoying Jobs I can do for free' list when I realised I didn't need to buy cotton tape because I had some in my sewing basket. So 1 Annoying Job done.
*Checked online banking for Paypal transfer of £85 from ebay sales. It was there, so I paid it across to our Loan Pay Down Fund.
*Did a few surveys. Lots of Toluna points had been added onto my account overnight so I cashed in for another £15 Sainsbury's voucher.
*Postie brought both good & bad today........some lovely photos arrived & a free coffee & cake voucher each from John Lewis.....but also the new water rates bill, which has gone up.
*Dinner as per meal plans - the chunky spicy chickpea burgers I batch cooked last week in the bread rolls I'm baking today plus a big salad. Not much cost there.
*Not a lot of leisure time today with having to prep for & go out for a meeting, but what there is will be free activity - sock knitting, reading & have updated my blog.
Must go & turn out that bread dough now & knock it into submission.
Have a good day all,

Hi DNMS - We're with Co-op Bank & I get on fine with their online banking. It did have some problems a while back when they were updating their website & OLB system & as this involved changing how people signed on, there were a few issues there. I think that's all sorted now though? I've been using their OLB quite a lot this week & haven't encountered any problems, anyway, so do persevere with them if you are at the stage where you're having to ring them to sort it out. I think their OLB is much better since they changed it, but I wasn't saying that a while back when it was refusing to accept my new sign-in/password, etc! Hope you can get it sorted anyway.
