No, it re-invests them. Accumulation units always re-invest the dividends (when it happens the unit price is increased by an amount corresponding to the dividend). Income units can either pay them out or re-invest them, if re-invested it will be through buying additional units.

Received my cash from the takeover of Cadbury last Friday, nice profit, but would have preferred to have kept my shares, a great British company down the pan and sold out too cheaply.

Bought them in October 2008, after the crash worked out about 450 a share including dealing costs.
