i'm back to crafting yay.
nimbo what do you do with all the books you make xComping for christmas xThankyou to all posters0 -
Hiya magical. Glad you're back at it.
I use them for all sorts. I've just filled one with old photos I was given after an aunt died.
I've got one set aside for doodles that I've been doing for a silver smithing course I'm planning to book. It may take a while to get the booked. Haha.
I use them for general notebooks - shopping lists etc. I collect ticket stubs and have used them as 'smash' books too. I give them as gifts too.
Today I have filled on old frame using a set of peel of words and some papers.
I've also used the journal and used up a lot of the photos I was given. I've set some aside for framing etc too. I need to hang the picture.
I had ordered some fabric (with my birthday money) and was hoping there'd arrive today. No joy- I only thought that as the tracking page stated they'd be here today. I'm gutted as I'd love to whip up a skirt with some of it.

Sorry this page still won't let me edit.
60 / 500.
My next project will be to hang the picture. (A tiny job - but one I want to achieve).
Then sand the shelves. For the craft room. This may take time as it'll need to be dry so I can do this outside.
I also need to design a quilt for some scraps of fabric. I have one set that has a farm feel to it. Not sure what I want to do with it.
I also need to disassemble a pallet. I'm planing to make key hooks.

wow lots of projects on the go nimbo. Nice to see you have so many uses for your handmade books.
I carried on with a sewing machine cover i'm making. The problem is i ran out of the white fabric i was using so only half is done.Ordered some more.Really wanted to use up what i had but i've reasoned with myself that it won't get finished otherwise.
While i wait for the fabric i cut out a pattern for a quilted hot water bottle cover. Not sure if people still use hot water bottles though. I'm using some lovely fabric i got from aldi.Wish i had stocked up now but had to ration myself Comping for christmas xThankyou to all posters0 -

Morning all, managed to get some stay busting done.
I heard a lady in Manchester was collecting hearts to hang and distribute around Manchester so I made 22 for her and sent them off the other day.
THis 10 hearts have been made for an upcoming school fete
THis is a pair of my sons jeans they are his favourites and were starting to get very threadbare as you can see, I jokingly said I would patch them if he was desperate to keep them, they keep turning up on the mending pile and he's been asked several times where he bought them. I know technically nothing I add to them is leaving the house but it's leaving my stash cupboard so I think it counts.SPC~12 ot 124

I count things that don't leave the house in my total. The jeans look awesome.
I've spent some birthday money. I ordered fabric. And a ruler. The ruler has arrived. The fabric was left in the greasy BBQ with a massive chimney on a rainy day. It's also missing. So gutted on that front. However they'll either resend or refund. So at least it'll be sorted one way or another.
I have some awesome fabric with which to make a skirt. That should be fun. and I will get round to hanging the picture. It's raining and the picture hooks are in the shed which is a feeble excuse. It in sticking to it. Haha.
I'm glad people have been busy.
I will be at some point. When I can get motivated. I'm hoping that the rain will come things down. It's been so muggy.

mrs- m, I had also heard about the Hearts4MCR.
Here are my 22.Hearts4MCR by Bobbie Doctor, on Flickr
I love that people have contributed such a huge variety, all made with love.
Those jeans are cool! I think stashbusting is just busting stash! It doesn't need to leave the house!
Oh that's awful about your fabric, nimbo. I hope you get sorted soon.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400
