I want a cake! And, of course, I didn't make any for us. :(

Well done on your knitted teddy sale, rosie.

I finally, after 2 years, got started on my scrapbook. I got 2 pages done.

Also, I made 6 Christmas cards.

I hear the weather is to break here tomorrow. :(
I love the cards they are so lovely. You are very talented.
If it starts to thunder i will be in bed with my head under the cover and listening to music hoping to drown the sound out.

Thank you, rosie. Cards are courtesy of hunky-dory cardstock (I have an endless supply it seems, lol).

I've started back on sock knitting, I've picked up my tapestry again, and - oh, dear - I've ordered wool for another crochet blanket. Maybe my mojo is back. :)

I also found out that one of my hearts for Manchester has a new home :)

I've had a long week working till midnight a couple of nights.

The irony is I'm desperately looking for a new job. But can't complete the applications as I'm too busy working. Haha.

Today I am doing no work. I will finish an application. I would love that job. Haha.

I'm going to hem a skirt today also. I may even wear it tomorrow. Hopefully haha.

I hope you're all well. And busy crafting.

Never knitted socks but would love to attempt to.
Do you use double pointed needles or circular as the latter i have every size there is. Still not getting any tapestry finished, wip is 3 years now. Crochet is a something else never tried, maybe this winter.Your hearts were lovely by the way.

rosie, I use double pointed needles; I get in a fankle with circulars, daft I know. As for using them for backwards and forwards knitting .......
I've tried out a new heel formation on my socks - "fish lips kiss heel". I think I like it! And it saves picking up stitches.

    Thanks re hearts.

My tapestry is a 3yr wip too! It's about one third done. It takes so long to do just a little.

crochet is easy and very quick and you rarely drop stitches!

I just may attempt some socks using circular needles as having my kneecap removed in Sept [same knee that i had TKR before] so will be off my feet for a few weeks.
So many things on the go, been retired 6 years and busier now then when i worked. Still do 2 mornings unpaid in my local hospice shop love it so much. Not only the people but the amazing bargains to be had, though we have to pay the normal shop prices.
I always come home with carrier bag or three but only get what i need, least that's what i tell DH.

wow you have all been busy. Cakes look so yum.

I've made a hot water bottle cover, a felt racoon for my brother, and amakeup bag.Im going to donate some items i sew to my local mind as they are having a fete.

In process is my sewing machine cover and a felt fox.He just needs his eyes stitching on.

Oh and i went to the nec yesterday as it was the stitching show. Was very restrained and spent about £9. i couldnt resist fat quarters at a pound each and a makeup bag pattern with the fabric and zip included for £5

    Think im up to 9/20
    Comping for christmas x
    Thankyou to all posters:D
