    Seriously ?
Just remind the forgetful one that it's their sodding round.
    Repeatedly.
Until they either get the message and buy a round, fall out with you completely and refuse to be your friend and/or drink with you any more, or explain why they're so skint and make you feel like a proper heel for not cutting a mate a bit of slack.
    Gus.

Just for your information, they are not conjured up threads - I put one in and it was put up for discussion.

Why 'put one in'? Why not post a thread yourself and then you could respond to the discussion?

IMO the worst threads are the ones where the person who starts it doesn't join in. It generally leads to a lot of assumptions and speculation as no one really knows the original intention.

I hate rounds!! I will have a maximum of one pint and then if I am thirsty I'll have a water or orange squash. I'm not doing my rounds when some of my mates will drink ten pints!!!

So either buy your own, or call them a tight !!!! and make them get a round.

Make the one who 'forgets' buy first - that way, they lose that excuse!

LOL some friend. How exactly do you "forget" to buy a round?
If this person is actually a friend, you / the group can simply say "Your round, then - I'll have..."
This doesn't make sense to me. Are you sure you even know this person who keeps coming out with you? :-/
