    Just had a hot chocolate with marshmallows from the Tassimo machine.No craving for Alcohol.Nine years ago it was a very different story!
    Sobriety delivers everything Alcohol promised.


    Alcohol free since May 23rd 2003.:D

    Had a glass of champagne with DH before I started work this evening-we had a nice meal together and then he went up to our local pub's reopening New Year's eve party at 10.30. Am working now-not really that bothered about not going out tonight as DH is going to take me away for my birthday in about 10 days time. Am going to try for 17 afds for January please shaggy. Think this is realistic as it's my birthday plus I'm away on hols at the end of the month. Happy New year all!

    Happy New Years Eve everyone, I hope it was wonderful :)

    Pleased to say mine was AF :j

    Lovely evening with children - takeaway, movie....

    For me, at 1am I was woken by a poorly boy (2nd youngest) - by 2am we had an appointment with on call doctor at hospital to check suspected appendicitus - got in car....stomach pains disappeared.....back to bed.

    6am very very drunk daughter (eldest) arrived home, trying to get into her car. My second eldest - 6ft 18 year old son stopped her, she talked about killing herself.....then walked off whilst I was inside getting dressed. Drove for about an hour looking for her, found a policeman by a car driven into a ditch - no bodies. Eventually came back and found her passed out in her car - she is now in bed in the spare room. I hope her boyfriend is ok.

    7.30am did the paper round as all boys here asleep.

    I'm feeling sad that my daughter has my drinking in her - it comes from my dad. A bit of a failure - my second eldest muttered 'It's not as though you can tell her off is it.' But I'll keep walking :o.

    My boyfriend has said he's so jealous of me stopping drinking - he has resolved to do the same.....but I know the story, it'll come when he's ready and only then.

    Rant over and I hope everyone has a lovely day.
