The advice that you were given to appeal directly to the landowner is good advice. They may overrule the PPC and you have nothing to lose by doing that now you have admitted being the driver.

    Do it!

Landowners as far as I can see.
We obtained a windscreen ticket from this location at the weekend.
It might depend which of the car parks you were in as there's one to the left as you enter and one to the right down the back of As You Like It. The second one might not have the same owner as there's a separate business down there in a separate building.

my husband got a ticket here in March - he was picking our kids up (which i normally do) and instead of parking behind as you like it he turned left then right and parked behind My Lynches (in a parking bay) - he went to get a parking ticket, could not remember the registration (my new car) and went back to find he had a parking ticket - not even 5 minutes after he left the car. The NTK arrived about a month later but by then I was out of the appeal time of 21 days and they have reject the appeal I sent them explaining this. I have asked for a breakdown as to how they can justify £100 but they haven't provided that. Now, 3 days after receiving my appeal rejection letter I have received a financial management letter for £132.

    Hi Guys

Just received first letter, only 12-13 weeks after the so called contravention demanding £100.00. I naively assumed that I would not get anything as it had been a long period of time.

Just a couple of questions so even if they take me to court which is highly unlikely I know because everybody has told me this already on this forum, in the unlikely event this happened would I only ever have to pay the £100.00 if the court rejected my appeal?

I think this has already been answered anyway but I am just going to ask again, do Northern Parking Services have any powers whatsoever to take any kind of enforcement action against me?

Because I am happily going to ignore this letter and any further correspondence from this bunch of cowboys.

    Regards

    Letter from who?

The PPC can try to enforce the charge - it would be up to a judge to decide if you should pay it.

If it went to court and you lost it would cost approx:

    £100 PCN
    £25 court filing fee
£50 capped legal fees (if the PPC uses a solicitor)
Maybe a bit of PPC travel expenses

How did you get on with your complaint to the landowner?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
