    Hello dark^knight,

Great that you made the budgeted February overpayment despite the unexpected expenses. Good luck achieving your target this month.

Has been a fairly good month, i.e. no major emergencies...so the rainy day fund has been pretty safe...means i can roll it forward for next month.

Have done a couple of MSE switches, which should help the budget next month:
1, Last year I switched gas and electric for a one year fix, which saved me £30 a month. As that is coming to an end, have switch again for a further £15 saving...so over the year saving £180. :)
2, Have changed the package for my phone and broadband, as the previous contract was coming to an end...so it means no increase there.

So this month have managed to OP £1620...which is my planned O/P.

On we go...33 months to go...

    Hello dark^knight,

Excellent you have made your planned overpayment.

Hope the rainy day fund stays safe next month too and that there are no major emergencies in April either.

Taking the time and making the effort to switch utility providers really makes a difference, great saving.

    33 months to go ... :)

So this month, managed to break even with the budget, although the rainy day fund almost got maxed out due to a family wedding and also breakdown cover renewal.

Good news is that we still managed to OP our planned £1600

    32 months to go...slowly...surely...
