Router Left On, Will It Damage?

Options
I have a TalkTalk router, which means it's probably not a very good one, does the job though. I want to leave it on over night to finish downloading something. Normally I switch everything off overnight. If I leave it on is there a chance it could overheat or something?

Mines been on for months if not years. It lives in the attic so never gets touched.

They are designed to be left on.

It may affect your BB speed as the exchange will see it as a possible fault if you keep switching it off.

It will throttle the speed right down (bras rate) if it keeps getting turned off!

Because it records the hours it has been on and is also powered via a UPS so impervious to mains failure.

The only reboots it gets are on a software update.

The electricity you are saving by turning it off at night is almost nothing. Like pennies per year. Leave it on.

I'm another one who has it on 24/7. I turn it off for about an hour twice a week, when leaving the house - for no reason whatsoever, it's just what I do.

They're fine; they're built/designed to be left on for years without a power down.
