    Hi timmo,
I know your post is a bit old now, so I understand if your goodwill is exhausted. If it isn't, is there any chance of you getting a code for a Rover stereo for me?
    The serial no is RG710FS8013332
The make is just stated as "Rover".
Thanks very much for any help you may be able to give me.

Did you ever get the code?

If not, give Anthony Betts in Hemel Hempstead a call. A quick phone call and hey presto, they pulled it off the computer for me. As they also sell Suzuki (and Subaru, FIAT and Alfa Romeo IIRC) they might be handy for these too.

    The number is 01442 868700

They didn't even ask my reg plate (even though I pointed out I always had my car serviced with them)
The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.

I bought a programme off a guy on Ebay for £5.99 when I needed the code for mine. It works fine and now I can decode anyone elses too. Anyone need a code? I'll tell you it for free! Just need serial number and model of stereo...

Amendment - I can't do Philips, Peugeot or Renault stereos. Seems software decoders don't work for these...

Any Fords though are no problem!

Can you unlock the new Corsa SXi head units?

Most main dealers will give you this informaion for nothing. All you need to do is ask, have either the serial number of the radio, car registration number (and sometimes VIN).

Well V.W charged me £70 and my stereo still in safe mode
