Peppa - Congratulations on the renewal. Hope the day is lovely for you.

Chrissy - Glad to hear your husband is out of hospital. I hope he continues to feel better. xx

Afternoon everyone. It's day 2 of (amazingly, for this area) clear skies and sun today. Although I'm sat inside as usual cause I'm recovering from a cold. Did get my daily walk around the garden though. :)

Tuesday to Wednesday I had an ECG monitor on. I knew I'd struggle to sleep with the damn thing on and I wasn't wrong. The lovely lady who fitted it nearly wouldn't let me leave the hospital cause my heart rate was way over 100. I was like yeah it does this and that's why I'm having the ECG. :rotfl: Anyhoo, hopefully some good will come of it. Can't be healthy to have a heart that shoots up at the slightest thing (standing up, walking, raising my arms above my head, sitting watching TV etc etc).

Got my nieces' birthdays coming up in a couple of months. Need to start thinking about that. Quite easy to buy for the nearly 3 year old though cause she's at that stage of wanting anything and everything. :rotfl:

    All the best everyone xx

Chrissy- glad DH is home and that the pain is less frequent, hopefully the 6-8 weeks will fly past quickly for him.
Mrs I- you are so good to others, I cant imagine many people would loan out their 'new wheels' so soon after having them. You are a good person- they are lucky to have you.

Clumsy- hope you get some answers soon about the blood pressure. My sister had her check today and it wasn't good so she has to go back in 2 weeks (she has been on blood pressure meds since she was 28 and is 46 now) so they can review her meds again.

On the Christmas front I thought I had the bargain of the century today but it turns out DS did! I saw a Tissot watch advertised on HUKDs that he has said previously that he wanted to treat himself to- reduced from £320 to £109! I thought I could get him it for Christmas, but had to confirm with him that it was the right one. It was but he said he would buy it for himself so I missed out on that bargain. Usually I keep the details and pics of what they say they are interested in so I can check myself, but I had a new phone for Christmas and didn't keep the lists I had on the old one! Oh well..

Its sunny here but really quite cold. I have been into the garden and cleaned the pond pump out ready for the new season (horrible dirty stinky job!). The cherry blossom tree is in heavy bud, and Im really looking forward to it being in blossom as my nan bought it for me many moons ago for my birthday, so not only is it beautiful it holds many memories for me.
    Hope everyone is well x

    Good morning Christmas Crackers,

I had my eyes tested last week. The ophthalmologist showed me a photo of my eye and showed me tiny broken veins which she said was from untreated high blood pressure. They don't affect vision but I was amazed by that.I have by the way taken blood pressure tablets for 26 years.

GTQ very positive news for your brothers situation. What a nice sister you are.

Same for you Mrs I,you are very generous.

Murie, result with the watch.I keep a list of things the family mention in the back of my diary, nothing in there yet! That's the trouble when they go and buy stuff for themselves, scuppers Father Christmas.

Free,i wish you liked gardening too,it's great.gets you out in the sunshine and fresh air and occupies the mind.I started gardening when my kids were small and they wanted to play out on the estate.I pottered in the front garden whilst keeping an eye on them, then I started watching Gardeners world and that was the slippery slope.:rotfl:I like the making of a garden best;the designing and hard landscaping, then the planting.I am pleased with how the back garden is going, and more pleased that its only cost about £300 all in so far.Bought some more stone off FB and Mr V collected it last night. We are due rain for a few days now so will HAVE to do some housework instead.

Peppa are you packed yet? Once I have made the decision to move ,I want to get on with it.I would love a bungalow but there aren't many in this area.People actually sell then rent to be able to get one when they come up.

Clumsy,I hope your test has given some answers for you.

Well,I fell on Saturday:eek:I feel like I have been run over,my leg is purple and my arm is reluctant to move.I have arthritis and was getting in the bath.Something has happened in my hand which makes my thumb not move,so I was holding onto the window sill not very well, one leg in,one leg out.Ended up face down arm stretched out behind me one leg out of the bath. For goodness sake!It hurt!It took a while to get all my limbs back to where they should be.:o I think my balance is changed since I had my spine opp.No drink had been taken BTW:rotfl:

Hope you are all well Vx

  • Hi all, me again. Honestly every time I write on here now I’m determined to keep up but time just flies again and I’ve missed loads! We’ve still got boxes to unpack and bits to buy for the house and I’m trying to get the nursery sorted out (was the dumping ground!) We were also away last week, we rented a little barn conversion on a farm near my family in Gloucestershire, my parents live in a small bungalow which is fine for one or two nights but we wanted to go for a week so thought we’d rent somewhere. We had a lovely week but we’re back now and need to get on with the house!

I know you guys were talking about this ages ago but on the no kids and no marriage thing, when my DH was asked when he was going to propose he’d reply ‘there are too many other women out there to get through yet’ and when asked about having children he’d say ‘ugh can’t stand kids!’ He was obviously joking but it always left the person without much else to say!

freespirit I really hope the op your DD had works and that her back situation improves.

Peppa yay about the bungalow, I hope it all goes through smoothly for you. How lovely that you and DH are renewing your wedding vows, such a nice thing to do.

CHRISSYG sorry to hear about your DH, I hope he recovers soon.

Clumsy I hope they can get to the bottom of your heart rate problem, that doesn’t sound fun.

vulpix ouch your fall sounds painful, I hope it stops hurting soon!
  • Morning campers! Just rushing in quickly.

Was sorting out what I have bought for Christmas etc & have spotted that Aliexpress have a sale on at the moment. If you have not used it before, it is a Chinese site, with a lot of cheap stuff. Most is posted, so snail delivery, but as there is plenty of time to Christmas, you may pick up a couple of bargains.

Was in M&S last night & picked up a couple of boxes of 665g chocolate truffles instead of Easter eggs, they are 1/2 price at £6, so much better value than eggs!

Was thinking about Feisty last night, anyone heard from her?
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Evening everyone, it looks as though DD2s back op has worked :T they came over for Mothers Day and she said she had a day out at the zoo and managed to walk all the way around with no pain, i really hope it stays this way now for her. I havent done anything christmassy this month not even put any money away, just trying to get birthdays and easter out of the way first.

MURIE i hope you are feeling better, i agree how the media put things that make people think a certain place is a hotbed of terrorism, good for you for sticking up for Birmingham :D Oh no i bet you wish you hadnt asked DS now about the watch! I have a Forsythia bush that i planted when my nan died as it was one of her favourites and it always blooms this time of year when we lost her it brings me lots of good memories too

MRSINVISIBLE glad you are happy with your new car and DGS approves :D I remembered the clocks going forward but felt as if i had lost 2 hours instead of just the one!!

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY glad you had a lovely time in Budapest, i hope work has been better for you this week than last week. We still have our visitor it wont go in the trap thing to take the poison! I hope all yours have gone no. How lovely that your brother has got back on his feet after a very worrying time for him and he has paid his debts all off, good for him. I must have a nosey on Aliexpress i havent ever been on there but i know quite a few people use it. Feisty has been on Instagram a lot and all sounds good.

CHRISSY glad DH is home and recovering well

CLUMSY i hope they find the answers to the ECG test

VULPIX i might not like it but we are determined to get some sort of decent garden this year, we have earmarked Sunday to start getting out there, and have bought a pump to hopefully pump all the water from the massive pond out, hopefully it wont take too long and then tidy up what we did last year then tackle another big part. OMG i hope you havent really hurt yourself, have you been checked out? That sounds so very very painful my lovely, take it easy!

PRINCESSKITTY glad you had a lovely holiday, hope you are still feeling a lot better and the sickness has gone now, thankyou for asking after DD2 i expect you have read above about her so all good here.

Free, that is The best news about your daughter.Bloomin fantastic.Go with the gardening.I know you are not keen to chat to people but get your head down and chip away at it.It really does give a sense of satisfaction when it looks better.I sleep a lot better when i have been out in the fresh air for a few hours.

Thanks for your concern about my fall.My leg although an impressive blue is feeling better,my arm is a bit too.I think I have sprained it.To go to hospital in any direction from here is the best part of an hour to get there so i shall pass.I have a Drs app next week anyway about my non functioning thumb so will mention it if its still sore.

The worry is i am just turning into a very old person before my time!Falling, forgetting things on the stove etc.My Mum is more with it than me.

GTQ I looked at the site you mentioned this morning briefly.I feel i may loose several hours to it right now.
