    Since Wednesday after I've only left the house to feed/water The Girls and the garden birds (including a fieldfare :j) and I'm starting to get cabin fever :(

    I've just made a big pot of scotch broth for the weekend using a couple of sorry-looking lamb chops from the freezer. The freezer is looking very bare now :eek:

    - chicken (2 x breast + 2 x wings)
    - smoked haddock (1 portion)
    - fishfingers (x 8)
    - pork sausagemeat
    - 1.5L HM chicken stock
    - bolognese sauce (4 portions)
    - 4 x 50g cheddar
    - chickpeas & cannellini beans (1/2 tin of each) and a handful of homegrown borlotti beans
    - red cabbage
    - bread (1 loaf)
    - mixed berries
    - rhubarb
    - stewed gooseberries
    - 2 overripe bananas
    - chillis
    - HM curry paste

    The snow is starting to thaw here but we don't need to go out, so we probably won't. Although, I might need to start rationing cups of tea if I want the milk to last until Monday and the garden birds may need to eat layers mash!

    I saw him this afternoon :T

    The thaw was quicker than expected so we went for a wander to the retail park - £26.81 on groceries for later in the week/month & bird seed and £7.09 on draught excluder tape for the front door (better late than never...!)

    I think you're the 6th or 7th person I've seen/ know have fieldfares come into their garden in the past week (I'd never heard of them before) - I've seen some great pics of them :)

    Yikes! AWOL for 8 weeks... bad MWC :naughty:

    :wave: I hope everyone is well - have I missed any huge news?

    I've been busy doing not very much! Fending for myself (Mr MWC is still travelling a lot for business :() and trying to get fit/lose inches. Six weeks until we go to Croatia and my summer clothes are still a bit snug :o

    My big news is that we're in the 20s after overpaying £10,000 so far this year :j
