Probably best to eat them and get them out of temptation's way :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Whoops, does it count as cheating if you didn't mean to?
  • No more accidental chocolate consumption and no alcohol :A Today will be a challenge - that woman is coming for lunch and I normally need a couple of glasses of wine to get through it!

Spring is on the way :j A third chicken started laying on Friday, another is showing the first signs of being broody :naughty: and my perennials are starting to grow :D

£46.37 spent on groceries this weekend - so much for me thinking it would be a cheap week... that did include ~£7.50 on ingredients for a fruitcake but not ~£30 spent in the butchers on beef short ribs for lunch today and square sausage (from Mr MWC's personal spends).

    Grocery challenge = [STRIKE]£205.30[/STRIKE] £251.67/£315

  • They were only here for 3 hours - it felt sooooooooooo much longer!

Nigel Slater's beef short ribs with pomegranate molasses and two root mash with parsley & pine nuts for lunch. A big slab of meat isn't something I normally enjoy but this was very tasty :)

As well as not killing anyone, I've line-dried some bedding and sown 5 different types of tomato seed today.

Apropos of nowt, I was looking through one of my old diaries earlier, and I came across a post that I'd made in reply to someone making a kind reference to my Joyce Grenfell quote. I'd replied that I'd read somewhere that our happiness - or lack of it - usually had some level of dependence on 'other people' and how they influenced our day/life, whereas joy was usually self-determined (or not, I guess, as the case may be). So c'mon dear mwc, fluff up those beautiful feathers of yours and joyfully inform us what the 5 varieties of tomatoes are that you planted seeds for today :D Please :D

I'm assuming they are going to be good eating come the summer :D

Sowing seeds and watching them grow is indeed joyful :D

Seeds bought for 50p/packet last autumn.

    - San Marzano (red, plum)
    - Tigerella (red/orange stripes)
    - Artisan Mix: Artisan Blush Tiger (pink blush on golden skin, mini-plum) & Artisan Pink Tiger (pink/gold stripes, mini-plum)
    - Balconi yellow (yellow, cherry)

And I hoping that some of last year's Sungold (orange, cherry) self-seed!
