 Hellooeee all
Well - I'm not sure where the day went to be honest! I've
only managed to write about a third of my cards!
My problem is I just love to chit chat on them - can't be doing
with just signing my name. Must admit, I love receiving
the same in return - love a good natter on paper!
Oh - then the window cleaner came too so we chattered
away putting the world to rights!
:j Yay! Wonderful win fire**fly - very well done! :j :T
Sorry to hear about your BP reading sylv. xxx Very well done to
your DH for winning more reading glasses! Lol! :j :T
Crikes rose - what a carry on with Hydro Wave!
Wonder how they'll get around that one! Once again ...
typical workmen!
Hope your DHs BP readings are ok on Monday sheils when
he goes back for a check up. You must be getting fairly
fed up with the ongoing work in your road ... hopefully
that will be all done and dusted soon.
Very well done indie on your beanie win and also on winning
a Fisher-Price Blaze Monster Dome playset! Just googled
that - it looks brilliant! :j :T
Have a lovely evening all - will catch up with you in the
morning.

Hope that everybody is ok and not too worn out with all these advents. I am doing my best to avoid all the colds and sickness bugs that are going around my children's school at the minute. Merry Christmas"And may the odds be ever in your favor."

Wow, well done FF! Hope you enjoy it when it comes. My Bodyclock was one of the best presents I've ever had. Really makes a difference to my grumpiness in the mornings, haha!I have had a couple of wins, 1 with Dickies, won a beanie and 1 with a netmums comp. won a Fisher-Price Blaze Monster Dome playset. So pleased with those.
Woohoo - congrats on the wins!Well - I'm not sure where the day went to be honest! I've

I agree Alfie - handwritten letters are so rare these days! Sometimes I think it's not worth bothering sending cards if you don't write anything in them, haha! A Christmas card from a friend the other day was totally without emotion - nothing more than the absolute minimum, no exclamation marks, no kisses, no 'hope you have a good year' or hope you're well' or anything. No nothing!Save

Hi all. Sorry not been in much this week. Every time I try phone rings or someone calls by.
Sorry to hear about your BP Sylvia hope they can stabilise it. Great news about your DH so pleased he is picking up. Well done on his win.
Sheils hope your DHs BP is down. Great you got to see your sons. Sorry to hear about your friend. My Mum was 52 when she died. No age. (Hugs).
Wingo do hope all is well with you brother. (Hugs). DH sounds typical. Somehow it all seems worse with them around Christmas time. Mine leaves everything about Christmas to me. When he did anything it was to disappear shopping on Christmas Eve.
April good luck with mini exam and advents.
Alfie well done cracking on with writing cards. I usually add something too but this year have not yet been to charity shop to buy some.
Rose hope the leak is resolved. Must be great living there but not so good when things go wrong.
DD1 has had plumbing problems in her house and it was only built three years ago!
Highlight of week was DGs Christmas Concert at school. It was very good they did a take off of Strictly come Dancing so was very funny.
Well I had some good news re Peter Pan tickets have been given them for a Saturday so no problems about school but it's 7pm performance. Would have cost £150 - £200 for two adults and two children so I'm over the moon.
Well done FireFly and Indie on wins.
I had some this week too. A WEM to say I've won a night at a Jury's Inn. DD1 wants it for a concert in Edinburgh next year. Says non transferable but we will see when voucher comes. I also won another goodreads and a children's book A Wimpy Kid one.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. It's been very mild here hope it does not mean snow.
Welcome all newcomers to the Inn.
Good Luck everyone with advents.0 -

Good Morning all,
Had a wet windy night here and still looking dull. Workmen back to the . road - they are sooooo slow.
My mum had her gall bladder removed the other day and is getting out now. She had to stay in a day longer than expected as she was in so much pain and was sick and fainted too. Sounds like she is feeling a bit better today and has been up walking a bit.
Haven't found out when my friend's funeral is as her sister had a heart attack when coming down from Edinburgh so they haven't booked a time yet.
Well done on wins indie and leanfun.
Leanfun I won a Jury's Inn night and it didn't have a name on the voucher. We used it for Edinburgh and the hotel is lovely with good food - bit difficult to get to but handy for Princes Street and station. (no parking)
Cathp808, hope you keep well, some hospitals in area have shut wards because of norovirus although not having kids now I don't know anyone who is ill. Hope my mum doesn't bring it back with her or my daughter who is working as student nurse on a placement.
Good luck with exam April. My DD has 2 today - right in the middle of her placement . She was working late yesterday so not handy really. Some people took the day off but then have to do a double shift or work at weekend.
No-one ever writes much in our cards Alfie but we do see most of the people we send to. We are a bit mean and only post a few cards.
Hope Fred and you are doing well Sylvia.
Rose, hope your leak is OK.
Love the pics Alfie and FF.

Good evening all, hope you are ok today.
Sorry you are having problems with Water Works Rose and hope they sort it soon, thats water board not your water works Rose LOL.
Lovely to see GK's doing concert leanfund, glad you enjoyed it.
Well done on your lovely win firefly and you Indie too.
Hope DH's blook pressure is OK when he goes back Sheils.
Have felt quite poorly today, met DS in town and dont quite know how I got back but feel a bit better now. Think its just the new tablets trying to slow me down and me wanting to go on as normal.
Hope your Brother is feeling better Wingo.
Must get on, catch up later.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

Relatively new comper, entered over 230 this week so far.
Can anyone give me any tips from personal experience please?
The comps i dislike a lot are the 'offers' ones. Are these legitimate competitions?
Thanks All and happy comping

Welcome to the crazy and fun world of comping.
This site is brilliant for posting competitions that are legit.
However, if a company is found to be somewhat 'iffy'
peeps will soon warn others about it on the Compers Chat
Corner. You'll see various comps/sites 'mentioned' there by
members!
There's loads of advice and tips etc in the comping guide - sites
to avoid/trust etc. Go to The Competitions Time Board -
scroll down to just below ADVENT THREAD and click on
Sticky: NEW COMPERS PLEASE READ - Competition Board -
useful links. Excellent thread and extremely useful - even
for us non-newbies!
Feel free to drop in any time you're passing - we would love
to hear from you and how you're getting on.
Wishing you lots of luck and fingers n' paws crossed for many
wins to come winging their way to you. :T
