Thanks stitchy! :A its only a basic model nothing of your wonderous equipment! its a sewland basic light weight model. I got it for £31 off of ebay :T (or should I say evilbay :rotfl: surely its ebay when you get a steal and evilbay when you have to list??)

I am a complete novice - well did sew when I was a kid but that knowledge is now so deep in my subconsciousness that I doubt even Freud could find it :rotfl:

non-mse stuff:

- polish and hoover throughout

- write a plan for college work - 3 x 2000 word essays due in in 3 weeks :eek:

update...still welded to sofa

post arrived, and with it a default notice from debenhams cc for a late payment over xmas. just rang them and had the £12 late fee and default notice removed from account :beer::money::j

Oooh well done - I'm always too chicken to ring up and ask for the £12 back - i got one on my Amzon cc just before Xmas, I paid it a day late...how awful for them;)
What college work do you have to do? I have one 2500 essay to do in the next 2 weeks...then onto the big fat 5000word ones, yuk:o

Today I have -

- been to Lidl first thing and spent £12.30 but have plenty for the week thanks to lots of 30% cheaper stickered stuff
- made a big batch of butternut squash, sweet potato, carrot & parsnip soup, probably 3 portions, smells delicious
- daily clicks
- 75 point swagbuck survey and currently maxing on SBTV. On 766 points so will get another £5 Amazon voucher tomorrow. That's 6 in a month, really pleased.
- email from Giffgaff telling me my ideal price plan for next month which is cheaper than the £5 Hokey Cokey I normally buy. They suggest PAYG so I must be spending less than £5 a month on my mobile. It helps that my parents and friend are also on it and GG to GG calls are free
- Found 3 things on sale on www . offer of the day . co . uk which I intend to buy and put away for niece and SIL for next Xmas, all less than £5. :j
- Received a dvd I bought from play.com for my mum. At Xmas she really enjoyed that Victoria Wood show, especially watching all the Acorn Antiques clips so I got her the dvd for £3.27 Will prob put it away for Mother's Day.
- Staying in with a bottle of wine which was an Xmas pressie and a portion of soup with some par-baked Lidl bread, mmm
- Currently chilling with a free cuppa thanks to Yorkshire Tea whom I subscribed to last year and they sent me an Xmas card with a teabag inside

Am going to creep out of lurkerdom too (I love reading this thread, always v inspiring!) :j

Today I have/will:
- Been shopping (split between cheap greengrocer, Lidl and Sainsburys) and managing to spend less than expected.
- Taken my set budget amount of cash out for this week (I am trying to be strict by not using my debit cards for spending at all during the week, and I find it much harder to force myself to break into cash for unnecessary spends!)
- Leftovers for lunch (and planned for dinner)
- Meal planning for the forthcoming week completed
- Turned off heating after 1hr (v silly putting it on in the first place... :mad:) - added a few more layers instead
- Housework
- Washing loads and using inside airer to dry
- Batch cooking tomorrow (chilli con carne, bolognese etc for freezing)
