Good plan Alex both on the money and health side.

This must be one of my best month's for a long time especially as I was on holiday at the beginning.

    Hello all,

I've been away from this board for a few months but after a very boozy 2 week holiday in October and Xmas/New Year approaching, I have decided that November is the perfect time to cut back and have a detox month.

I did the Dryathlon in Jan and had moderate months in Feb and March but over the summer I pretty much drifted back to previous numbers of days drinking though maybe not to excess as often.

I don't think I can go the whole month of November dry as I have a couple of family events but I'm going for an ambitious target of 21 AFD in November which pretty much means stopping all mid-week drinking.

    20/16 for tonight please.

I've thought about November and will stick to SNC apart from one Sunday and Monday for my daughter's 18th birthday celebrations :bdaycake: so that's 19 for November please Shaggy.

Despite an awful day (see next paragraph) I'm NOT reaching for the bottle tonight so I'm now on 17/20 AFDs

I had to go to DPW to restart my JSA claim. I know they are bonuses on deterring claims but I was reduced to tears when clerk said I should instead try for ESA as I was clearly depressed and unfit for work.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    2AFD's Shaggy

Have been like a bear with a sore head today as had a rubbish night sleep, I thought I would have slept better with no alcohol but I guess my body isn't used to going to bed sober! I'm sure it will pass though. Will give some thought to my target for Novemeber

No time for a drink this evening, so up to 20 and should reach target tomorrow.

maman: I used to rather enjoy buying various wines and keeping a rather large stock to give us a choice. However, in my mind it also meant as we had it, we ought to drink it.

On another note, the drinks budget for son's birthday party next month is £150 including Champagne with 11-15 adults to serve.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
