How does this tally with the recent expert's predictions published by MSE?

Thats fantastic news - I started the switching process to move over to them two weeks ago, as they had the cheapest economy 10 tariff I could find. (I wish there was an online comparison of economy 10 tariffs, they are SO hard to find!)

They accepted you as a new customer onto E10?
    Best of luck with that.

    According to their website/tariff sheet:
The Economy 10 tariff is currently not available to new customer acquisitions

Well, I got all my paperwork through, and I have spoken to three people on the phone, none of whom mentioned that.. I switched over the phone, so all the info I have is verbal rather than from the website - but it does explain why the E10 tariff wasn't included in the info pack!

Yep, they'll probably write you shortly or have already sent info for E7 prices...

Its like on gas very few price comparisons allow customer to select they are an IGT (not many people are) which causes confusion and complaints :(

Very good news. Switched yesterday on a bit of a gamble, combined with the introductory bonus and via Quidco.

Looks like a winner for me as my consumption is highly weighted to the winter. :j

I guess worth noting it is 'standard' prices they are not increasing - do many ever switch on to standard tariffs?
    I think....

Key word is 'standard tariff' EDF have at least 24 other energy tariffs most of which could rise in price before March.

Their online s@ver V6 guarantees to be at least 2% below EDF's standard rates until 30th June 2011.
