Adam Ant

AA Milne

I take it Robert Burns is already on a Scottish note? (I've been away a WHILE!)

The only reason I'd be pleased to see Thatcher on a note is because they end up being incinerated!

Gordon Ramsey is Scottish, Geldof is Irish, so I assume any Brit.

Isn't Geldof from Eire? So British or Irish?

Apparently that's why Thatcher refused to give him a knighthood.

Yes he is (Irish), so I suppose anyone from the British Isles is eligible.

Edit: DOH I get you now - sorry!

Since I appear to have lost my mobile phone today, if anyone wanted to test the new note on me I wouldn't say no!

Found it! But I would still be happy to hear from the bank of England if they're doing a trial run...

In the absense of Martin (which was poor show if you ask me) it had to be Judi Dench, then you get Queen Victoria on the back!

Default The only "greats" in the list

The only two people on the list worthy of any consideration are Sir Winston Churchill and Lady Thatcher. R J Mitchell (the inventor of the Spitfire aircraft) should also be included. It is surely "taking the mickey" to even suggest the likes of Blair, Bono or the former Princess of Wales.

Does the Royal Mint produce the Scottish £100 notes or is that another mint?

Personally I wouldn't vote for any of them. Okay - maybe Paula Radcliffe?

The Scottish notes are issued by private banks (RBS, Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale) so I would guess not. But I may be wrong.

Red face The real heads please!

If we had the opportunity, do you think we could have the real heads of the following lined up on the new notes?

Tony Blair
John Prescott
Maggie

and so on.

We used to chop the heads of Kings (Charles 1, Charles 2 - wouldn't you worry if you were the current Prince of Wales?)

Only kidding, I don't wish them any harm really!
