    Jordan!

Not really. I think Stephen Hawkin, or Stephen Fry. Both great men!

And both great Stephens. Bizarre.

There should be people on there that deserve to be on there and who have earned it...

Like Winston Churchill and other great British people....and maybe Camilla

  • This is all a bit academic now, but most of those listed are ineligible for being on the back of any £100 Bank of England note, because the B of E stipulates that the person must be English (Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale Bank issue their own notes with Scots on; Wales as a principality probably counts though) and dead - usually for a long time (only Babbage would be eligible from this list, I would guess). So the original list is quickly whittled down to:

    CS Lewis
    Charles Babbage
    Douglas Bader
    Freddy Mercury
    George Harrison
    JRR Tolkien
    John Lennon
    Laurence Olivier
    Princess Diana
    Sir John Mills
    Stephen Lawrence
    Winston Churchill

In any case, the obvious choice is John Peel - RIP

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
