Washer/Dryer

I'm looking to buy a washer/dryer unable to have two seperate appliances due to lack of space. Is anyone able to recommend one that dries well, I've heard there have been problems with an 'all in one' but have no option. Advice welcome..

Not too sure about which one to buy but if its any help I had a Candy condenser washer dryer and the clothes kept getting overheated when drying to the point of being ruined even after several engineer call outs

    good luck in your quest

You can see them in your local public library.

Is there nowhere you can put a dryer? think hard before getting a combi. I have one, they take longer to dry the clothes and the clothes get that warm that it is almost impossible to touch them without asbestos gloves on (ok a little exaggeration, but only a little:cheesy:) we stopped using the dryer bit of the combi almost immediately and bought a seperate dryer even though it's not ideal sitting in our dining room (kitchen is fully integrated with all available space used)
  • Do you not have the space to fit a dryer on top of a washer? :)
  • Sadly, no room anywhere else (truly), therefore I guess I'm just gonna have to take a guess unless someone could recommend one.
  • Wonder if Im posting this in the wrong section?

You've posted in the right section, I just don't think there are many people who would recommend a combi washer\dryer. I was in the same boat as you and was warned against a combi but bought one anyway. The dryer bit packed up after 3 months we had it repaired under warranty and it broke again after another 3 months, etc.

In the end we just bought a washer and dried the clothes on an airer in front of the radiator when we couldn't dry them outside.
  • Thankyou I suspect your advice is sound... even if I don't like it (ha, ha). Why on earth don't these companies make items that are duel purpose..
