I booked these flights last year. The airline was fab and had a great time in NY, althought we had heavy snow in march. I woudl try and go in april when a bit warmer...

does anyone know of any "cheap" but not cheap hotels in nyc? nothing crap... but nothing where you're likely to get shot for having more than a fiver and a fake rolex?

Hampton Inn Times Square is great. Big rooms, friendly staff and great location.

hahaha average of £160 a night. That's hardly cheap. Unless that is the price of every hotel in NY.

Think my trip might be off if it costs that much to stay in a hotel.

Agree, or Priceline ... or have a look at the New York hotels thread on the Travel boards!

Alternatively, fly into New York and then go elsewhere! x
