I have just moved house and need a the BT line connecting as there has never been one in before. I range BT on Sunday to arrange for the line to be connected (at a cost of £125 approx?). However, the call operator mentioned that they were doing a promotion at the beginning of november. They are offering the connection at half price. He said it would be at the beginning of november so i'm gonna wait till then and call back and hopefully get it connected for half price
Hope this helps someone.

oK, this starts on the 9th of November and is only used as a last ditch effort to get a sale. It comes with an 18 month contract and makes you ineligable for any other special offer in those 18 months.
Also if you break the contract then the full charge applies.
I repeat 9th of November! Not a day before. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -
Thanks Drunkstar :beer:is only used as a last ditch effort to get a sale.
What do you mean by this? Is it not going to be advertised? Will I not just be able to ring up on the 9th and ask for half price connection? Will I have to say £124.99 is too much and umm and ahhh until they offer me it half price?Proud to be a MoneySaver!

As far as I know its not being advertised and will only be offered after the spread connection facility.
I could be wrong though. :PThe "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -

You can spread the cost of having the line installed/connected over 6 or 12 months, but you pay a bit extra on top compared to paying for it outright.0

Thanks. I've just found this on the BT site:
When you apply for a new line for BT Together, LUS or BT Basic you may choose to spread the cost of your connection. With this option, for BT Together and LUS you will make a payment upfront of £27.49, which includes a facility fee of £12.46, followed by four further payments of £27.49 which will be added to your first four quarterly (three-monthly) bills.Proud to be a MoneySaver!

I have just moved into a new build and BT sent me a bill today for £182 - only £19 is calls. They charged me £106 for a connection. I called Bt to ask if I could pay over 2 months they said no. Is there any way round paying all this at once or cutting the cost? I am on option 10

It is being used as a way to save a sale. This also comes with and 18 month contract on either Option 1, 2 or 3 but at there normal prices. There is no spread connection, it has been removed and cannot be provided on WLR3.If saved £2710 and only spent the interest (Based on a return of 5%), you would have enough money to pay your TV Licence every year. Saving you £7452.50 over a period of 55 years, based on you buying a license from the age of 20 until your 75 at a cost of £135.50.0 -
Has anyone managed to get this half price offer???
