Saw this today when sending some ebay things.

"The Communications Workers Union (CWU) has announced further strike action. Two 48-hour strikes are planned. The first will begin at lunchtime on Thursday 4th October and ends at lunchtime on Saturday 6th October. The second will begin in the early hours of Monday 8th October, ending in the early hours of Wednesday 10th October. This will be followed by an unspecified programme of weekly strikes, starting week commencing October 15th, until the resolution of the dispute."

    And the important change on this one is:

    Special Delivery     will continue to be a priority throughout the period of disruption. We have well developed contingency plans, and will do all we can to deliver Special Delivery items on the due day. However, money-back guarantees will be suspended for items posted on 4th October onwards and will be reinstated as soon as we are sure we can fulfill the service promise.

    So there's Ebaying out the window for a good month, argh

    so basically from tommorow till monday we shall have no post :confused: then it will take a week for the backlog to clear :rolleyes: i knew i should have ordered what i wanted last night :rotfl:

    oh and what will happen about credit card statements?

    It said on the news this morning that there is likely to be no reliable post until next Wednesday, as a second strike starts on Monday. :confused:

    Good point about credit card bills PAP - I will have to remember to check my online statements.

    Maybe thats why ebays doing half price listings because it knows people don't want to use it if they can't send their items... Or maybe I'm paranoid!:rotfl:

    From where I stand, I see no problem with going ahead with ebaying/amazon selling and such. Just be sure to put a notice in your listings about the postal strike so that folk are aware there'll be a delay in receiving their goods.

    I'm just about to drop some emails to my buyers and put notices in the rest of my auctions.
