Desktop PC @ £246 (15"TFT/512MB/80GB/CELERON D 2.66GHz/DVD+CDRW) [CLOSED]

At Dell, obviously. Not their best ever offer but seemingly not a misprice this time. An extra £58 for a 17" TFT monitor makes it £303.15 total. Take £11 off either price to downgrade from the DVD/CD-Writer combo to a plain CD-ROM drive but you'd have to be slightly mentally-affected to do that.

E-Value Code is dmuk4 - D04302a

Also, under the terms of their current "Free Printer" promotion, this one is not listed as exempt* so it may qualify (after a post-purchase phone call, maybe). And if it does qualify an upgrade to an all-in-one scanner/printer/copier is a paltry £17.63 under that promotion.

Cheers,
Mike.

No modem included but adding one only takes the price to £251-45.
Paying £11 to upgrade dvd/cdrw means thedvd only plays does`nt burn.
Still a good price, you get what you add and pay for.

    Cheers,
    Just ordered..
    With the CDRW..

It seems silly to me paying the £12 extra for the DVD/CDRW drive. You can a DVD rom for £12 ( buying elsewhere ) and have two drives. Or more sensibly buy buy a DVD burner ( not from Dell) for as little as £30 and stick this in the spare slot ( or remove the CDRW and stick it there - a DVD burner also does CD writing).

Now to find a cheap PCI graphics card with TV-out...

Do you mean that they will ring and then I query the free printer or I need to ring them after I get confirmation? It definitely isn't included in the list of exempt offers, so it seems quite reasonable and a good argument for it being included in this offer.

If anyone manages to get the free printer (or cheap upgrade) I'd be really obliged if they could post here. Thank you.

I have gone for this deal as it seems very cheap for what is included. I would not think that the Free printer offer aplies as normally the Dell site shows the printer in the list of specs for the item you are buying. If you try to order the D04305 you will see that the printer is listed with the option to upgrade to the better model. The spec of that machine is less than the one on offer here and the price is higher.

Of course I will be querying the offer when no printer is delivered - I agree that this model is not excluded from the offer but would doubt if they will give even a cheap printer on a deal such as this.
Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!
