Looking to get AOL Broadband but heard they will install loads of things which ruins the computer - is it wise to get broadband with them?

There is no need to install any ISP's crap on your PC. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

There is no dial-up number for broadband as your specific line is ADSL enabled. Basically you simply enter your username/password into the router provided i.e. the router connects to AOL and then your PC or PC's talk to the router either via Ethernet of wireless. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I have been with AOL for roughly four years and never had any complaints with them.
Would highly recommend. :T0 -
AOL service is pretty good. Been with them for years and only 1 day my connection was dodgy. Had an email the following day from AOL saying sorry.
Relaible service IMO.
My only gripe is its pretty pricy compared to other providers0 -
I have been with AOl for years.
No connection problems and any queries promptly and efficiently dealt with.0 -
I was with AOL for about 5 years until last year and I thought they were abysmal. Until I joined Talk Talk, that is.
