Have downloaded Flashget & Flashgot extension as instructed on a previous thread but after playing about with them for over an hour I have only managed to save the BBC Listen Again page.
How can I record a programme?

play the thing and just use audacity to record all audio coming from your speakersThings that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0

Rather than use Audacity as good as it is I suggest that instead you download Screamer Radio. You can listen to hundreds of radio stations including all those from the BBC and record them as MP3's.
Only drawback is that you cannot set it to record at a predetermined time, other than that it really is excellent.
Get it here.

But I don't think that screamer-radio will record BBC Listen Again programs.
Or will it?Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -

Not sure which previous thread the OP was talking about but the Swen's Blog article shows how to do it step by step at http://swen.antville.org/stories/735413/
I use the FlashGot approach and it works for me0 -
I used to be able to download the realaudio files via Net Transport after having located the 'real' address of the file using URL Snooper. Then converted to MP3 via Switch.
However this method failed last week - only able to download the link files so I used Audiacity instead (Have to play the whole program while Windows sound scheme is switched to silent then save project ot MP3 file. Latest Audacity version has a TIMER to help). Has something changed? Maybe I should have a look at the above programs to see if any of them can deliver a result into an MP3 file for listening to on the move.
The rumour is that the BBC is going to make the whole of Listen Again MP3 podcastable but my are they taking their time about it. Apparently, a highly paid committee is deciding if this is a service the public would find a use for.0 -
Thanks for the help & suggestions everyone.
I'll try everything at the weekend when I have more time & report back.0 -
Many of the BBC radio shows are doing podcasts now anyway. So you can just download them instead of using the listen again.0

I use Streambox VCR suite to download the files (Streambox Recorder Turbo), and then convert it (Streambox Ripper) to batch convert to mp3, which I can then copy to my ipod.
It's an old bit of software that's not really supposed to be available anymore, but I'm pretty sure you can still get it here.
You can even set it up in windows task scheduler to download at a time you're not using your broadband (my work computer downloads hours and hours of radio from various bbc stations at 7am in the morning :T )0
