What Have You Spent Today Sun 4th Feb & New Weekly Challenge

OK here is the link to last week's budget pledges. How did you do?

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=361630

I fared badly! I pledged £95 and spent £122.57. So err, that's not so good.

Today I hope to only spend on the weekly grocery shop and nothing else thought I will report back later my actual spends.

My budget for this week is £75. Must try harder this week to beat it.

Good luck everyone.

Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)
Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!
  • Oh dear, I said £30 for last week & spent £40.99.

I hate hanging around airports...my willpower dissolves when I see Accessorize...

Onwards & upwards though eh?! Considering I've got to get new contact lens fluid & go swimming twice this week, I'm going to go for £15.
Do or do not. There is no try. (Yoda!)

Moozie Sunday to Friday challenge: £5 spent so far £0.

A NSD for me today, and my challenge for next week is to stop going food shopping - we have full cupboards and fridge/freezer so i dont need anything!!!!
My moozies challenge will be £5 this week - apart from a magazine for DS and their sub money, i shouldnt need to buy anything else.
  • Hi everyone on this cold and frosty morning (sorry afternoon)

Managed to come in under budget last week at £4.16 spending just on a few top up groceries (bread, eggs, fruit) and £1 on a charity raffle ticket.

This week my budget is £27.03 -much more but I have to fit in a birthday present (max budget £10), a business trip which may involve some spends which can be claimed back, and lunch with a friend I only see a couple of times a year as she works abroad.

Did my monthly shop and got a R&R refund as well as using a money off till spit. Also "wombled" my first Tesco clubcard points - something I only found out about on here.

Petrol for the week was over budget but will be able to make an expenses claim for some of it.

Isn't budgeting complicated? It was a lot easier when I just used to spend what I liked ......... Don't worry I'm not falling off the DFW wagon and just to prove it I am off to list some more things on Ebay.

    Enjoy Sunday everyone

I know exactly what you mean about airports (and in my case railway stations as well). I have to try really hard not to head for the shops while waiting around.

I get paid a week on Thursday and somehow have managed to spend loads this month - a lot of it on petrol.
This week I am aiming to spend 15 pounds - I have full cupboards and am trying to cut down with the fags (again!) so will hopefully come in on budget.

Well not a very good week.
It was going swimmingly until Thursday, DD had a parents/ gcse options evening, so we went to M&S and spent £14.46  on a few bits for an 'eat in the car' tea.
Budget £45 spent £50.29, not too bad I hear you say.....but I only managed £15 for petrol instead of the £20 that was budgetted.

    So, for this week, £40.
