Take a flight of fancy for £10 all-in with Ryanair

What's the deal?
In a spin against Brown's increased taxes on flying (effective February 1), Ryanair is offering flights at just £10 each way; most importantly this INCLUDES taxes and charges. You must book before midnight Thursday 25 Jan to get them.
How to find these cheap flights
As always the problem with these things is actually finding the special offer flights, go direct to Ryanair and you'll pay more, yet read the explanation below and it'll explain how to use this site's free FlightChecker tool to speedily find the offer flights.
What are the conditions?
You need to book before Thursday 25 Januaryand at least 7 days ahead. Flights must depart between 26 Jan and 24 March 2007 with the following exclusions (and Friday and Sunday flights are not included):
09th Feb '07- 19th Feb '07 from UK only
16th Feb '07- 27th Feb '07 from Ireland only
15th Mar '07- 20th Mar '07 from Ireland only
These £10 flights fly from the following UK airports:
East Midlands, Liverpool John Lennon, Glasgow Prestwick, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Blackpool International, Durham Tees Valley, London Luton, London Stansted, Aberdeen, Bristol International, Doncaster Robin Hood Sheffield, Inverness, Manchester and Leeds Bradford and some others.
And destinations include:
Dublin, Nimes, Milan, Aberdeen, Carcassonne, Kerry, Ancona, Barcelona, Bournemouth, Frankfurt, London, Porto, Santiago de Compostela, Santander and more!
Remember you pay to check baggage in!
It’s £7 per item each way if you do it at the airport and £3.50 if you pre-book. So if possible take hand luggage only.
Also, you’re charged handling fees for paying with a debit cards (70p) as well as credit cards (£1.75). This is per person, per flight.
How to speedily find the specific cheap flights
The FlightChecker is a special free, non-commercial tool on this site designed to find these special offer flights. Normally you enter in the maximum price you’re willing to pay before taxes and charges, the airports and date range and it finds the flights with you.
For this promotion therefore you should be looking for flights at UNDER £1. In fact, the result you want are the flights costing £0.01. Once you've found them go to Ryanair and double check the flight details and the total price.
The system isn't perfect, there’s no hard or fast rule with this promotion; some 1p flights will come to £10, others more, but if you’re flexible with your dates and the airport you fly from, you’re likely to find a bargain. And it's much much quicker using the Flightchecker than not.

PS Environmental Note
I always do wrestle a touch when writing about cheap flights, as of course it isn’t the best thing for the environment. The aim is to show people how to find the flights or holidays they want more cheaply but not to encourage you to fly more often, so please do bare it in mind. If you are interested in making at least a stab at offsetting the enviromental impact of flying - then there are full details in the ‘Cheap Flight Finding’ article.

Virgin has offered to pledge all its profits from all travel firms - including Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Trains - over the next 10 years to fighting global warming. This means if you fly Virgin all the profit of your flight is going towards fighting climate change, plus if you pay towards the offsetting, that's even better.
It's no reason to fly more or at all, but if you do have to fly, Virgin's the greener option. I mention because the 'money saving vs green travel' only mentioned offsetting.
Branson makes $3bn climate pledge

Sir Richard is pledging the money over the next decade
Sir Richard Branson is to donate $3bn (£1.6bn) to fight global warming.
The Virgin boss said he would give all profits from his travel firms,
such as airline Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Trains, over the next 10
years.
One of the UK's best known entrepreneurs, he made the announcement at
a news conference in New York.
Worth an estimated £3bn, Sir Richard started his career in the record
industry before moving into everything from mobile phones to credit
cards.
"We are very pleased today to be making a commitment to invest 100% of
all future proceeds to the Virgin Group from our transportation
interest, both our trains and airline businesses, into tackling global
warming," he said.
Trains and planes
Sir Richard established his main airline Virgin Atlantic in 1984,
starting services between London and New York.
Today he also owns two low cost airlines, Virgin Express in Europe and
Virgin Blue in Australia.
His Virgin Group owns a 51% stake in UK train company Virgin Trains.
This operates the UK's west coast main line franchise between London
and the west of Scotland, and the cross country franchise between the
south west of England and Scotland.0 -
I wouldn't fly Ryanair again if you paid me¹, let alone for £10.
If you haven't 'enjoyed' their service yet I'd advise you at least scan the web for some background on them first - there's plenty out there. If you have flown with them and are happy all I can say is they're fine (well, nasty but fine) until things go wrong, and then they leave you for dead.
Not a company where customer service is in the dictionary. Unlike some of their competitors (Easyjet and Flybe, for example).
¹ Well, within reason of course :-)0 -
