:hello: Goooood Morning fellow OS’ers :D:D:D

Haven’t caught up with the threads yet but hoping all is well with everyone. Going out for the day today, hoping the rain will have stopped by then though :D

Yet another busy week tucked under my belt but I’m beginning to feel like I’m running a treadmill backwards; the more I achieve in one area, the less gets done in another! But, it’s all good  I’m really grateful for that huge bottle of zoflora I made up the other week because it’s making the job of wiping down the bathroom a breeze and just as well seeing as this week the toilet blocked on the morning that the light bulb went – trying to unblock a toilet isn’t much fun at the best of times but doing it by candlelight was something else again ;) :rotfl:

The freezer has been worth it’s weight in gold and I’m really pleased that I had some meals made up which could just be taken out, defrosted and reheated.

Yesterday was spent helping friends put up their Christmas decorations. Reached a point on the journey over where I thought the car wouldn’t make it. For some reason the gears didn’t want to play. They very kindly lent me one of theirs to get home with and today I’ll have to arrange to get mine taken to the garage and the car doctor. Can’t be without it as life is so full with so many different things going on which all involve travelling. Finger’s X’d it’s not going to be too pricey and I have enough in my freedom account to cover it. I’m not fretting over it and I am so grateful for the kindness (and trust!) of being loaned their car yesterday – good friends really are pure gold!

Haven’t put up our own decorations yet though  Traditionally they would be put up next Tuesday, but, the day and evening is full of appointments that it won’t be done *that* day and that’s for sure! It’s our final Spanish lesson that night and I’m quietly confident I now know my la frente from my la cabeza :D:D It’ll also be my 2nd PTA and I think I’ve managed to enlist 2 new committee members when I was getting a tin reduced in the supermarket the other evening  We shall see ;)

Time I caught up with everyone else’s news from the week, I think :D

Have a super moneysaving Saturday and special offer of the day are Free ((hugs)) all round :D

'Morning Queenie and Mrs Mix and all who follow :hello:

Woke up at 5am and have been happily surfing the web since then :D I'm an early morning person and love the peace and quiet of this time of day.

Last night was the monthly storecupboard shop - Netto, Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's all done now. Today is the farmer's market and the filling of the freezer :D. It will then only be cream (for butter making), milk, fruit and veg to buy each week :D

Today is wine making and baking day - and I'll also be batch soup making for our lunches this week (frozen in individual portions).

I've also got a wireless router to set up but I'm putting that off until I've read all the good advice on MSE ;)
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
  • Morning all! Been up for an hour, sorting out my new avatar. DD drew it in paintbox, and I love it.

Very busy day today. Children off to swim club, and I'll do a huge pre-christmas shop. Then bacon sarnie in the cafe, before I drop of DS and DH at footie. Big match today, but our team is doing well. We only started this team 2 years ago, were promoted at the end of last season, and now are top of the league :j

I then take DD home to unpack the shopping, make a pack-up and meet our friends. We then return to meet the boys, DS will have a sponge wash in the car, then we're off to see Pirates of Penzance at the theatre. Friend's brother is singing his first professional job in the chorus. Poor DS still thinks we're seeing Pirates of the Caribbean   :D

Out to eat with friends and his brother, then home late. I feel exhausted already.

Off to get bread from the machine for lunch.

    Penny. x

well a day off at last but I have so much to do I don't know where to start.

washing, ironing, general housework, need to sort out some bills and post some letters, dog needs a long walk (only had a few quick trots round the park recently), need to do some food shopping, car needs washed... the list is endless but unfortunately the weekend isn't.

need to sit down and plan some Christmas shopping too. oh and organise a Christmas party outfit.....think I need to lie down just thinking about all this ;) I have a day off during the week to get it all done...once I have it planned.

got one more extra shift to do next week - so MSE wise I will be around £420 better off come payday :)

    Morning all :hello:

Lots to do today, I'll start with the ironing when I've finished my cup of tea. The animals need cleaning out and there's 2 lots of washing to do, piles of clean clothes to put away and the carpets need a good hoovering :D I'm going to move the cupboard that holds all my craft bits n pieces (in the lounge) into the big cupboard in the hall so I can fit the Christmas tree into the lounge. I need a bigger house :D Or maybe a workshop  We've got a brick shed, I wonder how much it'll cost to damp-proof it  I could buy a mini fridge and move my Tassimo out there  Course, I'll need a computer out there too so I can pop in here without going backwards and forwards to the house :D

Pen Pen, your avatar is really cute :D I hoping to fit in a film today, mr tru bought me a big bag of minstrels (you have to have choc when you watch a film lol) but I couldn't decide what to watch, I've seen everything on our shelves at least twice  But you've reminded me of one I borrowed from my mum and haven't watched yet. So, March Of The Penguins it is :T

    Morning everyone,
Lots to do. Must get some food out for the birds today – they eat their fat balls in less than a few hours.
WM needs to go on. At least DW stuff is all done. Did a great roast dinner last night. I’d overboiled the potatoes and so it was virtually mash in the pan, oops. Put the lumps into really hot oil in the oven and hey presto they were saved. Very yummy. Gonna make some green soup today (cuc/courgette/watercress/celery fried in chilli oil, add stock, blitz after about 1.5hrs). Very healthy with lots of green stuff! Right, off for a cup of tea and some toast. Hope everyone has a great Saturday.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Less things. Less stuff. More life.

  • Morning all, thank goodness its the weekend!

So much to do, so little time before the dreaded w*rk thing again on Monday.
Our outside decs started going up yesterday, we seem to accumulate more each year - should look nice though! Indoor ones wont be put up till next week, we have loads of them too, the naffer the better!

Pen Pen - Avatar looks lovely, an artist of the future me thinks!

Washings on, slow cookers having a day off, but weve had some lovely casseroles this week in it, so much time saved - thanks OS ers.

Sorry for the lack of apostrophes in my post, something strange keeps happening every time I try to type one - hope its better tomorrow!

Got most of the crimble shopping done and had a big shop at Lidl for all the juice, pop and meatballs (dont ask!) for over christmas, so feel well sorted.

Off to watch monster house at pics in a mo (cheap kids club prices of course!)

Queenie - hope your car gets sorted - cheaply!

Have a lovely Saturday everyone xx Hugs to all who want them xx
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.
