HI all, we started doing a menu a few weeks ago and even though we had already improved on our spending, it was amazing how much more we saved just by getting exactly what we needed. It also meant less waste. We have also cut down the amount of meat we have, trying to keep it to Sunday roast.
So here's our menu for the week:
Saturday: Brown rice and vegetable gratin
Sunday: Roast Chicken, potatoes and veg
Monday: Homemade salmon fishcakes and veg
Tuesday: Carrot and Ginger soup and bread
Wednesday: Corned beef and potato pie and baked beans
Thursday: Tuna Pasta Bake
It makes us look forward to the week and also motivates us to cook
