M & S Credit Card Application

I filled in an application online on Wednesday for M&S credit card. I am fed up getting nothing back from my credit card, Egg Cashback is virtually non-existant now.
I considered John Lewis, but their online application wouldn't work, kept telling me things hadn't been filled in correctly when they were.
It stated I would be e-mailed within 48 hours. I have not received an e-mail yet. Will they just send letter in post instead?

Hey,
I opened a post on friday about m&s more card - a rip off?
If you have time please have a look at the posts coz I bet you won't be intressted in m&s card, after u have read a few. I applied for one 2 weeks ago. It took them 4 days to send my an e-mail saying I was accepted then another week before all the paper work came through. Well roughtly my thread is all about the total credit charged (i thought i would be charged for their service - £136) + 2% BT fee - which states fee free on the website but when u get ur aggreement it says 2% per bt uncapped. A few ppl are going to complain to m&s about this.
Hope this has helped you out. :-):j0 -
I am not looking to transfer any balances or anything like that, just a card to use, pay off every month and get a little something back but I will take a look at your thread. Thanks!0

I don't remember getting an email, but the paperwork came through last week in four working days.0 -
Have an &MORE card - account opened over the phone and card here in no time at all. Just wondering what extra benefits there are with this card, other than the &MORE points you earn when spending? There was word that you get extra vouchers sent to you periodically with your statements? Are these extra bonus points or things like their "Cafe Revive" coffee shop vouches? Any info appreciated. Also got their "double points" offer until November which I think has been superseded by the 0% deal, so happy enough at the moment with them, other than they don't do online yet, but that is coming I'm told.0

However, as they've been stating "We are currently developing this facility..." on their website since at least May 2005, I'm not holding my breath. :rolleyes:0 -

Yes my parents have had M&S cards for years, chargecards and then the new credit cards. You could see your chargecard online and then when they went to credit cards it was taken off and has not been put on despite stating "We are currently developing this facility..." has been saying this for 2-3 years now!!!0 -

Yep there are extra points coupon sent to holders, not in the statement, usually a separate mailing. They are usually so many extra points if you spend a certain amount on a certain department, these vouchers are unique to holder as my parents often get different ones to each other.
Occasionally you get sent extra mailings for extra points when you spend a certain amount on food or sometimes 3 or 5 times your points.0 -

Yeah, me too. I phoned and asked as I find it a real pain not being able to be in control of knowing what is being spentHopefully it's not just a stock answer they're giving and it really will be up and running by the end of the year.

That's clever. Didn't realise they would analyse your spending. Suppose it'll be set to target you into departments you've not purchased from before.0 -
My original email from them went into my spam (hotmail account) - have you looked there?
I must check my contract re the fee thing but the promotional booklet that came with the card def said no fee BT.0
