Unusual Ideas For Storage

I know its sad but it excited me last night, lol. I found an old letter rack in a drawer and have used it in my kitchen cupboard for standing packet sauces in, and its great, stops them falling over. So I'm wondering what else people use for storage thats not essentially its proper use.

Thats a good idea. Free as well so even better as you can buy racks specifically for those packets.

I can only think of ice cream tubs as the moment though.

i have an empty ( washed and cleaned ) old tomato sauce jar that i use to store vegetable oil in. i always buy it in 3 litre tubs and then decant into the jar. and so much easier to store and use.

can't think of anything else of top of my head.

I store shoes in CD boxes. I bought the boxes for £2 each on 3 for 2 and they are black cardboard with metal corners. My size 6's just fit in and they look great stacked up in a corner.

Not sure how unusual it is but picked up the smallest "Really Useful Box" in Staples at the weekend for DS. His Yu Gi Oh cards fit perfectly!!! Was b*****ed if I was going to pay £14.00 for the official one and DS was chuffed to bits!! :D

We use an ikea rack designed to hold saucepan lids as a magazine rack (in the loo naturally!)
