Depends what you want to do with it. As in do you

    a) Want to buy the Easiyo sachets? In which case the instructions are on the sachets anyway.

    b) Want to make your own yoghurt using a shop yoghurt starter and uht milk (I have done this and had some success but not always) - in which case there is a post by Whitefiver where they list what to do, which can prob be found by searching...here it is I think

    Hi purpleprincess,

There are some suggestions/recipes on these older threads that might help:

First attempt at Easiyo yoghurt have i done it right?

Yoghurt - Easiyo or make your own?

You could always contact Easiyo to see if they could send you some instructions.

  • Me again!! :p So, what I have to do, is fill the outer bit with boiling water, and put some yoghurt, milk and milk powder into the middle bit and leave it for 12 hours? So I only need a small yoghurt and use that as my starter and then when I've made yoghurt I can freeze some of that to use as a starter next time??? And how long does my HM yoghurt keep in the fridge for? And do I decant it from the big pot to little pots and then store in the fridge???? :D

The sachets work out about the same as shop yoghurt maybe slightly cheaper if you buy them in bulk from a site such as yoghurtdirect. They do make a kilo of yoghurt.

Making your own as described in the threads is cheaper but not as foolproof.

Yep, it is just a flask thing, not a machine...you just use boiling water in the outer flask to keep the inner container warm.

Yes you seem to have it about right. You can freeze the starter if you like. In my experience the yoghurt lasts about a week in the fridge.

You do have all the parts don't you?

    1. The white flask with lid
    2. The red plastic baffle in the middle
    3. The tall container that the yoghurt goes in?
