It doesn't give any details, but does anyone know if it will allow the use of overide providers?0
-
Well it still says coming soon but does give a price of £9.99 for their linerental and £5.99 for all inclusive geographical calls even if you don't have their broadband.
I wonder if they'll do their all-inclusive calls for £5.99 even if you don't get their line-rental?
I can imagine that they wont think to block indirect access numbers at first but of course could possibly do so when they want to at a later stage.

Just recieved an email from my Internet provider Madasafish offering me their new landline deal, £9.99 a month. This is what it offers:
When you sign up for Madasafish Talk you'll be one of the first to receive:- £9.99 landline rental, over £1 cheaper than BT and TalkTalk
- Free evening and weekend calls to UK landline numbers starting with 01 and 02
- Competitive rates on calls to mobiles and international destinations
- Your existing phone number and BT phone line will not change
- And if you already have Internet services with us, you'll get your Internet and Talk services all on one bill

With caller display their monthly line rental will be £11.49 where as BT would only charge £11 for same service.
They say that you get for £9.99p.
"500 minutes of free evening and weekend calls to UK landlines (numbers starting in 01 and 02).
Inclusive calls up to an hour to UK landlines (numbers starting in 01 and 02) are completely free. Redial before 60 minutes to avoid call charges"
Whilst the former 500 minutes is probaly correct. I suggest the latter Inclusive Calls offer is an error and only applies if you pay £5.99p.
Its not a good idea to move your line rental from Bt as they are the only people that have to allow you to call 1899/18185 etc.
BT with 1899 peak and Primus Saver 2 (Unlimited Free Evening & Weekend Calls) is better .0 -
I think I have to agree here... got the same email myself this morning. Until we know if they allow override providers hold off on this one. It might seem more convenient to have the bills on one bill for phone and broadband, but it's still cheaper to do it the other way.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I'm very disappointed in madasafish having limitations like that.
Here are some things to note for those thinking of joining:-- Their linerental with caller display is £11.49.
Better Alternatives: BT with caller display is £11. - They may block calls to indirect access numbers like Call1899, Call18185, etc (this has yet to be confirmed as they appear to lack t&c).
- Their evening & weekend plan has a limit of only 500minutes per month which equates to only about 16mins of evening & weekend calls a day.
Better Alternatives: The same package without the 500minute limitation you can get from Primus Saver Option2 also for free. - Their all-inclusive plan has a limit of only 1000minutes per month which equates to only about 32mins of calls a day and costs £5.99 each month.
Better Alternatives: SkyTalk costs £5 per month without the 1000minute limitation providing you subscribe to Sky. Or, Euphony costs £7.25 per month also without the 1000minute limitation. - You can't just go for their calls - you have to move linerental to them.
I personally would not recommend them as they're in most cases cheaper and/or better alternatives around.
Their limitations on minutes is not the first for a company but does put them in the minority few that have such limitations.
Come on Madasafish - this is disappointing.0 - Their linerental with caller display is £11.49.

You do need however to use SKY to get Sky Talk.
If you dont mind signing an 18 month contract a good bet is Euphony,s new offer http://www.euphony.co.uk/eutalkPlus/euTalk18.htm. (24/7 calls to 29 destinations including UK). Particularly if you make oversea calls to any of the inclusive intl destinations. It averages out over the 18 months at 4.33p a month.
Combine it with Bt for your line rental and 18185 for your cheaper mobile and ngn calls and you want go far wrong.0 -

So you did,my apologies.
I know its a 18 month contract but if you make Intl Calls to any of the destinations covered i think its worth the risk.0 -
Hi Guys,
I think it’s worth pointing out that we’re again being upfront about what’s included – the same as with our Broadband; we don’t hide behind Fair Usage Policies that claim unlimited but aren’t really. Likewise we're going to be upfront with all the charges associated with our Talk packages - no sneaky call connection costs and we charge by the second, we don't round up to the nearest minute. We’re entirely transparent.
Our research has shown that 500 evening and weekend minutes a month and 1000 daytime minutes is way more than the average household uses. Those households making more than these 500 or 1000 minutes of inclusive calls will pay more than those customers using less – which is only fair when you think about it. £9.99 is the cost of line rental and that includes 500 minute of calls to 01 and 02 numbers. For an additional £5.99 on top of line rental you can get 1000 minutes that you can use at any time of day (and any day of the week) to numbers starting in O1 and 02.
The Ts and Cs are in the signup pages which can currently only be accessed by customers who’d pre-registered and have been emailed about the service. They will be made publicly available on the main website when the service launches to all in November.
We appreciate that we’re not necessarily going to be able to offer the cheapest rate to every destination. However, the new Madasafish Talk packages offer the ability to save money on phone bills for the majority of Madasafish customers.
Kind regards,
SamaraMadasafish Customer Care0
