Hello everyone
. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.
Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Evening all
I have returned from the homeland after a rather harrowing journey down. The wonderful people at Easyjet cancelled my flight so I got in 4 hours later than planned and at the wrong airport.
It has been a rather spendy weekend but as tomorrow is offically payday so I am going to re-jig the budget to cover this and start with a clean slate. Budget for this week is £22 to include anything not budgetted for elsewhere.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Sorry to hear about your Easyjet issues - I did see on FB that you were farming in the airport though :rotfl:
I was absent last week. Sorry miss!
This week can I please go for £28ish (I think that's whats in my purse....)
Thanks!0 -
Hello All
Glad bunny is improving now ETO - what was wrong with him? Hugs for him and you.
I am late in declaring again - I spent £16 last week and so am green - I will budget £25 this week (to include a few drinks on wednesday). (did spend loads on saturday but budgeted in clothes and shoes budgets!)
Do you get any compensation for the notveryeasyjet service PP?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

I suppose I can't complain too much as they managed to get me on another flight so I was luckier than some of the others. I was farming until the battery on my netbook ran out , something to pass the many pointless hours sitting about. I am going to see if I can claim something in compensation but probably not.
Glad to hear you are back at the old bugeteering even though it is going to be hard with the lack of lodger funds. I hope you and Mr F are enjoying having the flat to yourselves.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

No I didn't as I was not sure what I was owed anything. I have just had a look at their website and it seems I should have been due some sort of refreshement voucher as I was rerouted and delayed for 4 hours but they didn't offer me anything. I think I am going to write a letter and see if they will offer me a few quid, got to be worth a bash but I am not holding my breath.:rolleyes:Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Also, can you change me to £31.18 which is exactly what's in my purse. This will include all spending this week unless I can convince some hapless sod to take me to the supermarket as this won't be included!
