LTSB Can YOU send online sameday FPs

Options
For me this facility reappeared on Sunday afternoon, and I posted a thread to that effect. However its clear from some of the postings in that thread, that this is not available to everyone. Don't suppose LTSB will be able to enlighten us, but maybe we can work out who can and who can't and why.

I can
My acc is a classic with vantage
Am a longtime basic customer
Have moaned a lot to them about lack of FP particularly in their on-line surveys.
Can't think of anything else that might be relevant

Nope, I can't. Just tried to send £10 from my Classic Plus to my Flexaccount and it dated it tomorrow.

Could that be a Nationwide issue?

    Indeed.
If it is 07-01-16 then that is not FP enabled

That's true. But I tried again with an HSBC sort code that is FP enabled, same result.

Edit: I did notice, when I sent a payment to that account last month, that it did arrive on the same day as it left my LTSB a/c, but I had to set it up at least the previous day.

Ok I have just tried a £10 payment from my LLoyds Claasic Vantage acc.
This was to my First Direct account.
It was a pre existing payee ie I didn't need to set up the details.
The payment went immediately via FP and was in my FD account immediately.

I've been a customer for just a few months, but otherwise the circumstances are just the same as yours: Classic with Vantage, have moaned a lot about lack of FP.

    I still can't send a same-day payment from LTSB.

I tried both a pre-existing payee, known to accept FP (Halifax) and a new payee, also known to accept FP (First Direct). Both payments were scheduled for tomorrow's date.

How much did you try to transfer?

£10 each time. Figured since you'd had success with that amount, I'd try the same thing.

    Have you any theories yet?

Wonder if it is being rolled out across account numbering ranges?

My FP transfers were all done from my sole account (starting 1).
As a test I have set-up a new payee (one to which I sent previous FPs from my sole acc) on my joint acc (starting 6) and put in a transaction for £1 - no FP its scheduled for tomorrow
So I can send FP from my sole account but not from our joint acc:confused:

At least payments (up to £500) that do go through, whether as SOs or BPs, all seem to get there the same day.

Granted, they need to be set up in advance but it means your money is always earning interest and not in limbo for two days.
