BAB UK: Are they genuine?!

I had a call today from 020 7965 1012.
It was a lady called Natalie who seemed to know who I was and that I'd had bank charges in the past. I don't know where she got my name and number from, bit worrying.
Anyway, she works for a company called BAB UK who have a website here:
bab.uk.net
They claim to be able to reclaim bank charges for a fee of £49.99. What I'm wondering is, are they genuine or are they fraudsters?
Has anyone else had this experience?

Do you have bank charges to claim cos I don't charge a fee to help people with the process?0 -
What do you actually get for the fifty quid?
Alot of the £50 up front companies only send you a pack of template letters to do the work yourself and actually want more later on to help you.
The pack they send you could get everything FREE from the main site here.0 -
I had the same call...no idea how they got my details but I was skint and stupidly fell for their salesmanship charms. That was early June and I was told I would have a result within 4 - 6 weeks. 4 months later and ....nothing. I phone them on a regular basis to find out what is happening, usually I have to hold for about 15 minumtes then I get throught and am told the same thing 'the bank still hasnt responded.' Of coarse they havent, they dont want to give me my money back, they'll drag their feet for as long as possible, I thought I was paying BAB UK to chase them up for me. I beg of you, if you want to keep your sanity do not use this 'company'. I have never received such awful service (I requested to speak to a manager on Monday 5th october at 10am and still havent received a call back by Friday 9th at 12:45 - rediculous) and I have this niggling feeling that I've fallen for a scam. :mad:0

Thank you Kirsty. I'm really sorry you're going through such frustration.0 -

I have LOADS of bank-charges. I got in a right mess at one stage and am due about £1700.
What sort of help do you offer?0 -

That's a kind offer.
I was under the impression that everything's still on hold and nobody's been getting any money since the court case started.
Then BAB called and suggested that they could get my charges back. But seeing as they seem to be fraudulent.
I'm betting the banks and their expensively assembled legal teams will be able to challenge, appeal, and procrastinate their way through the next few years. Then they'll be happy to refund everyone's charges "from the last 6 years".
Do you think different?0 -
