Barclaycard 0% BT no fee offer

I've followed the MSE newsletter link to https://www.0for10.co.uk for the best 0% 10 month offer, but can only find 0% BT to 1/1/07 with 2.5% handling fee. Can anyone tell me which card I should be looking for and where to find it ?

I've answered your question on the other thread you asked it, but I'll answer it again here...

Clicking the above link (for me at least) brings up http://www.0for10.co.uk/barclays_landing/platinum.html

If you click through the https://www.barclays.co.uk site, the page appears identical, except that it has a suffix on the url http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/barclays_landing/platinum.html?TC=QXIRA10017

In all cases, the summary box states...
    Balance Transfers
0% for 10 months from account opening, for balance transfers made within 60 days of account opening up to £5,000, subject to credit limit.
    No handling fee.
  • Will Barclycard do more than one free 0% balance transfer within the period?

Website says "The closing date for this offer is the 26th April 2006." Have you had a tip-off Martin?

Can someone please clarify the correct link for the fee free 10month bt offer and the closing date?

Both links seem to have the same summary box which states

Balance Transfers 0% for 10 months from account opening, for balance transfers made within 60 days of account opening up to £5,000, subject to credit limit.
    No handling fee.

    and......

    Charges
Cash, balance transfers and cheques: 2.5% (min. £2.50)

    thanks

The first statement is for BT's made in the first 60 days (like it says), and the second statement relates to BT's made after the first 60 days.

Just go my card in the post today :) Looking through the conditions, it says, among other things:

"0.0% for 10 months from account opening (with no handling fee) on balance transfers for any eligible balances transferred to your account within 60 days of account opening, providing the amount does not exceed £5000."

From this I take it that I can actually do multiple balance transfers within the 60 day period, rather than just the one.

Interestingly (and I had no idea about this), it also says: "0.0% interest on purchases for 3 months from account opening".

This is not for balance transfers, but for new purchases as well.

Question: Let's say I (a) balance transfer £2000 across. I also (b) spend £500 on the card, so my balance is £2500. I pay off the minimum amounts for the first three months, plus pay a one-off lump sum of e.g. £500, after the third month. Would Barclays consider this payment to be against (a) or (b) in this example?

    Hope that that makes sense!

    Thanks

    (a) - so you will still be paying interest on the £500 until you completely clear the £2500 (plus interest)!
