Totally free nokia 1100 pay as you go
Insert By Martin
This really is a superb deal. You spend £30 on a pay as you go phone (ie no monthly fee phone) and get £30 of call credit. Unlike usual offers of this type, there's no expiry on the airtime (but you must use £5 credit at least once every three months or you'll be charged 75p a month - which means the credit can, if used right, stretch for 18 months)
The phone itself isn't snazzy, but it's a perfect spare phone (see Back Up Your Mobile Data Discussion for how to copy your contacts over) or a great "granny in a glove box phone" for emergencies.
If you want to use the phone to add another Sim card in, then read the the Unlock Your Mobile article.

Hi
Will this be unlocked ? Any reviews on it - I can't find any?0 -
I think all the nokia 1100 are unlocked (but dont take my word for it)
I bought my parents an 1100 for £19 with £5 of airtime included from amazon, it is a very basic phone but very user friendly as all nokias are0 -
can be unlocked
they use t-mobileEx forum ambassador

They don't come unlocked but they're fairly easy to unlock.
You can also get the nokia 1101 on Virgin for £26.99 with £25 credit - just go via http://www.virginmobile.com/lifestylerewards (see this thread).
Have had a couple of these phones and we've been very happy with them. The 1101 is the same as the 1100 except that it has WAP.

Beware though!
I have just chatted to them and they do have a minimal use.
If you do not use more than £5 a month they take 75 pence of your account.
Since we are only looking for a Pay as you Go for security use and an occasionaly text message we would never get to that and even though 75 pence is not a lot it is the principal of it I say ;-)

Hi Not sure where this should go so appologies if this is in the wrong place and please feel free to move it ...lol
I have just seen the newsletter and Martin mentions a mobile Phone that is £30 and you get £30 free credit and I think I can go one better
http://www.easymobilephones.com/pay-as-you-go/nokia/1600
This phone is £24.99 and comes with £10 Credit
Now that doesn't seem a better deal until ......
If you buy one for £24.99 you get £10 credit so you have payed £14.99 onc you have used the credit.
Then http://www.envirofone.com/phonedetail2.asp?sessionid=&id=4 are offering between £15 & £17 to recycle these phones
As an added bonus if you buy the fone and you OH buys one , you can recomenned them and you both get an extra £5 of calling credit
https://www.easymobile.com/selfcare/emcontent/services/raf/raf_intro.html
So if you both buy the phone you both get £15 credit in total using the recomenned a friend then you can both recycle and both get about £7 profit for your hassles :rotfl:
Hope thats not to confusing , if so , please someone rewrite it lol

Hi forgive me if this is a really thick question but I am not a regular mobile phone user. So you buy the phone with a SIM card which has a particular phone number associated with it and then you have 30 quid worth of calls to use for free - is this correct. I understand this but I am a bit confused about the extra SIM card deal with Quidco, do you change the sim card in the back of the phone and get 20 quid worth of calls for 10 ? But woudln't you then have a different phone number? Also what is unlocking all about?0

This link takes you to the Q&A page for EasyMobile, you have 3 months to use £5, not 1 month.
...So in theory, if you never used the phone, just had it for emergencies and incoming calls, the top up would last for over 3 years !!
(...multi phone car charger needs to be in the glove box too!)

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=165514
and order lots of free simsGONE ENGLAND0 -
Remember - keeping the phone in the glove box is all well and good - but you will still have to make sure the battery is charged up every now and again. It'll go down even if it's turned off.0
