Mortgage-free Glee!
edited 9 August 2009 at 7:14AM in Mortgage-free wannabe
The idea is simple… a single day where you pay off a tiny (or large) amount of your mortgage – or for those unable to pay, an extension of the ‘what small thing have you done today’ thread.

The most interesting idea ‘wins’. Whether it be a ten mile walk to the building society picking up pennies from the side of the road before making a deposit – to an on line payment of 9.99 Pounds / Dollars / Euros / AU$ etc.

I'm too late! Never mind, I never saw it so I'll do a bit as soon as I get paid in about a week's time.

Oops... I got sidetracked too. Walked into Northern Rock yesterday with a cheque for 4 pence (Found a lost National Savings account) and paid it against the mortgage.

4th July works for me too. Have to see if I have a couple of spare greenbacks in the house that are gathering dust.

4 pence! Can you pay that little, I'm impressed
I'll check my mortgage pig shortly, doubt there's much in there though.

So 4th of July it is then, should we have a new threadwith that date in the title so more people see it?
