Drivers who do 30 in a 60 zone

Options
I got stuck behind a queue of car and in front was someone doing 30mph in a 60 zone. I managed to get passed her eventually, but why do people drive if they can not do the road speed limit? They should be banned from driving because they are a danger on the road. I am just having a rant because this is becoming a common occurance

Yes that is so true, they go about 40 in a 30!

More annoying is a slow driver in a national speed limit starts to speed as your overtake them!

Drivers of small Kias are the worst - and the worst of the worst are the ones wearing trilbies
  • Sunday drivers that do 50 in a 60 annoy me, but at least they are doing a respectable speed!

You have to guage what is a safe speed on roads with a 60 speed limit. I have to admit that I'm more likely to drive at a maximum 50mph because being a regular on roads like that I've seen enough cars in ditches. 50 in a 60 is not a sunday driver.

The limit is also 60mph on tiny country roads and that is ridiculous really on roads where you can't see 20 feet in front of you half the time.

It used to drive me mad though when people would drive at 35-40mph when it was clear and wide but then carry on speeding through the village where the houses opened straight onto the street. Is it just a complete lack of knowledge of the highway code?

Worst one i've had so far is 30 in a 60 - I overtook and he flashed me! !!!!!!!

Don't even get me started of driving standards in the UK though!

  • My driving instructor used to say 'It's a limit, not a target. Don't let yourself be intimidated into driving faster than you feel is safe'

If people think that the maximum they can drive at on a dead straight bit of road is 30 then they probably shouldn't be on the road in the first place...
